Spot-on description of the place. It would take a lot of RTTF to garner all that, but that's it in a nutshell. I'll PM you with something related.
Harrison Plaza is always worth a look, but I agree that it is rather hit-or-miss. I have found some terrific stunners there, but other times the pickings are slim. YMMV.
As for pick pockets, all you need to do is put your wallet, and your expensive watch, in your front pocket and be aware of your surroundings.
I carry cash, a credit card and a debit card, and a xerox copy of the front pages of my passport in a money belt between my undershirt and outer shirt, slung around my neck and hanging under my right arm. I carry only enough cash for transactions I anticipate making for that day. I have been pick-pocketed once--on the LRT. They got the only thing in my back pocket, a pocket appointment book / calendar. Worthless to the thief but very inconvenient for me, since I lost all track of my various appointments. Now I carry the appointment book in the money belt, and the incident taught me how to avoid similar situations on crowded LRTs. I wear a cheap watch, carry a cheap Philippine cell phone, and do not own any bling.
I often carry a small backpack with books and papers, and occasionally a laptop. In crowded places I carry it in front with my arms wrapped around it.
I continue to believe the most vulnerable places are near poorly lit ATMs, Western Union and Moneygram outlets, money changers, and crowded areas in the higher end malls. Just my $.02.
Or buy a plate of over priced pancit. Good way to make friends since it's way too big for just one. Or take her across the street and buy a cheap plate of pancit. A few steps farther, and you'll find the shwarma place. In MBC, I often pay for my first drink as I order. That way I can move around. Take my drink.

I just got off the plane a couple of hours ago and I made my 1st mistake. Stayed at the Manila Airport Hotel and I know I was grossly overcharged. $1300.
I asked one of the uniformed (porter) guys in the airport where the hotel was and he took me to a lady and she got a cab. I hope I will get smarter going forward. The took advantage of my ignorance. I deserved it. The hotel will take me to the airport fro free in the morning. I won't say anything bad about them, because I should have known better.
You mean you paid 1300 php for a taxi?
Yes I believe it was for the taxi ride to the Airport Hotel. It is a five minute walk from the airport! Rooms start around 2500 php. The porter and the lady probably got a cut of the 1300 php! Oh well.

Took me while to get over it, but I have paid in life for the dumb mistakes I've made. I will blame it on the JetLag,. Like you said, oh well. They needed it more than me and I learned something. Don Be A BooB. I'm in another city right now and I paid less than 500 for a taxi ride, much further... but I have a wonderful lady as a front person now.

We've all made those kind of mistakes, especially in the beginning. I suggest that you spend time and RTFF to get info on potential pitfalls, some of which can be far more costly than an expensive taxi ride.
RG.
Yeah, I came within seconds of paying that same price. A porter directed me to a lady with a clipboard who had the prices listed on an official looking sheet of paper. I had been looking for the yellow taxi meter stand but it was blocked by some vehicles so missed it initially. While I was doing the mental currency calculation, the vehicles moved and I saw the yellow taxis stand and walked over to wait on the queue. There can be a line sometimes but the cost savings is dramatic.
It can happen but don't sweat the small stuff.

Pre-trip I set up a FB account and garnered about 160 friends. After 2 months, whittled it down to about 45 interesting ones before departure. Just deleted the rest. Goodbye forever.
Last trip all I did was a Tagged profile before departure. Got more contacts than I could handle and a few of which I will be meeting this trip. This time, only FB.
Met FB girl #1, 28,5'-2", no kids, not a total knockout but pretty, a great personality and slim, but not a mega-spinner. Her dad died last year, and no money was discussed / requested prior to meeting her. That usually grants an immediate expulsion from my life. So we are texting, setting something up. A dinner date is what she proposes, I counter with a dinner date followed by an invitation to stay the night. She accepts. Cavite to Century Park is far! This girl must be DTF!
My modus operandi is I never make any promises, all I ask is would you like to meet me? I don't say I am in love, I don't say I will marry you, just meet. Let their imaginations do whatever they do.
These pinays send some of the funniest text msgs. I see FB #1 is up at 4:30 am. I ask why.
"Because before I taking a bath I want to rest my eyes, I takecare of my eyes".
Ok, wtf!? I actually laughed out loud at that one. Wouldn't her eyes get more rest if she was asleep?
FB #1 has a real office job, entering data into a computer from 7:30 am – 5 pm, with a 1 hour break in which she sleeps (again the reason is to rest her eyes!
She agrees without hesitation to meet at the hotel (another good sign she is DTF) between 6-7 pm. Coming from Cavite, she is early, arrives at 5:50 pm. EARLY! Never happens. Geez, this is looking good.
In less than 30 minutes we had the first touch and in less than 30 minutes later we were naked.
I ask her to give me blowjob. She says she has never done this!
I enquire further. She was a virgin until she was 27 (1 year ago), had 2 boyfriends, 1 who got into drugs and the other had another girl. Oh dear, my deepest sympathies. She never gave a blowjob to either. Nor did either suck her pussy (which she declined my offer – yuk, says she). She has never been with a white guy. So many girls are full of BS, but I was pretty sure she was telling the truth.
So feeling like the king of the world I introduced her to the blowjob game. Her inexperience showed but she caught on very quick and it was a delight. Go deeper sweetheart, go deeper.
Then came time for the real deal and all the comments about "ow, so big, OMG". This girl was tight.
Dinnertime – I ask what she likes. The answer after much probing. Jollibee or McDonalds. This girl is amazing! As if we are ever going there! Never. I ask; Have you ever been to Shakeys, Max's, Itallianos, TGIF? No to all was the answer. This girl had never been into a restaurant in her life. Max's it was and she hardly eats much. No begging for more, nothing, asking me for nothing in the mall.
Back for round 2. I had discretely popped an generic at the table in Max's so I could last longer. I don't need them for what they are usually bought for, but they make me not just cum in 30 seconds. She was getting into it and actually came twice while fucking! What a champ!
Such a pleasant surprise – what a cultured girl, dressed in her work uniform, polite, sweet and asking for nothing. Just what we all want right? If I did not have so many other line-ups she would be my new fav.
We all have so many stories and some of us share the (humbling) not-so-good ones even though it may be brutally honest. We all have bad experiences at times, but when you find a gem like this one, I felt I had to share.
She tells me she has to leave at 4 am to get to Cavite to her job. Awesome! Not a clinger. Another thing. She does not do is send me these mindless texts all day! We all know how annoying that is.
I find out her mom lives in Tondo and she rents a room in Cavite, so she only sees her mom every weekend. The independence gives her the freedom to do what she just did with me. I was wondering what will happen now, is she going to drive me nuts and fall in love? I took a couple of going away pics, not knowing if I will be able to fit her into my schedule again.
I get this text message as she is on the jeepney to work: "Just kept your picture in your phone not on your facebook hahahaha. Because my mother is active on facebook and I don't want to see her my picture in hotel my mother and relatives so strictly. ".
Our liaison was a secret! She just wanted to be boned by a porinner. Well, boned she was.
The next text says "You know my pussy is so hurt hahahaha because your is too big haha".
That made my day.
