Recife Info by pro, April trip
Hi Guys,
I have been living in Recife for more than 2 years and know every spot there. I also have perfect knowledge in portuguese. I will l go back there for vaccations from 29.4. - 4.5.
I will post update on scene there after my return; also if any funny matey there during this week, let me know and we can have a beer or two while checking the Garotas... ;-)
Pre-info: basically the garota-spots stay always the same in Recife. For easy pick-up, go to Bamboo-Bar or Chakatak on Praca de Boa Viagem. Sometimes the selection is not the best, but be patient, in most nights also some stunners show up. If you step out from Bamboo-bar and go left down the street cosileiro aquilar in direction to center, you can walk for about 3 miles and check up the freelancers there. Asking-price is only 30 - 50 R$ for complete service in a nearby motel. During daytime, you may sit down on any of the "barracas" on the beach-side (please do not swim there, all the dirt from Recife's desolate canalisation swims there...) enjoy your beer any look out for any garota that attracts you, smile at her and invite her for a beer, most of them will accept and 100% of those who accept will also be happy to go to your apartment/room after beach. Pro-spots at the beach-side are barracca das meninas in from of the edificio castellino (2 highest twin towers at the beach-side, and the barraca in front of Recife Palace Hotel (do not stay at this hotel, it is dirty, expensive, and NOT girl-freindly). If you get bored with Boa Viagem district, you may also check Recife Antogo district by night, especially on weekends you may find some (pro-)freelancers there. Also for the advanced mongerer you may check the shipping-malls, especially the largest: Shopping Recife. OK, that was just an short overview, there is much more action, like private parties at the house of some expats, where you pay about 300 R$ all included and you drink and ea and fuck as many ladies as you want.
Basically with some knowledge in portuguese you may find your dream-lady at any location. I met my supermodel-lady on a bus-ride back from the car-service-station to my apartment. I was really lucky to drive a Fiat in those days, if it was a Mercedes, maybe I never met her.
about dropping out of school...
Brazil's economy is doing well. Why are the poor getting poorer? Partly because the newer jobs require more education and skills than many poor Brazilians have, and partly because certain people don't value education and see only the easy fast money of drug dealing and prostitution. They drop out of school.
IŽve been in the NE for the last 10 days, hanging with this chica who teaches at a public school. The story about dropping out of school is simply the schools are so poor (largely due to municpal corruption) that the schools are basically a waste of time (no books, few teachers, and all poor kids with zero resources)...hence most kids simply go to school to eat, until they are old enough work (i.e, steal, sell drugs and/or p*ssy).
The public school system is broken here. Public school basically leads students to be completely NOT competetive vs. kids from private schools when they get to the college level, so many simply dont bother.
In the Northeast, where the per capita GNP is 30 - 50% of the South (and about 50% the national average), the problem is particularly bad. That said, youŽll find some of the sweetest caramel and mocha colored bunda on Earth in this region!
Anybody knows a good hotel from Boa Viagem for Saturday ??
I am going to Recife, for a work trip but first I spend a weekend on my own.
I called to my hotel which is located on Boa Viagem, and they told me that if anybody visits my room I need to pay extra 80 reais, even for a short visit.
Now I would like to change hotel, cheap ones are OK also. Somewhere where there is action nearby.
I visited Recife once 2001 but I don't remember so much anymore there.
That time my tourist hotel by coincidence was near one place where there were many girl bars, and lot of German sex tourists. Could this be this Praca Boa Viagem which I saw in some messages ?? It was some Praca.
I think this information request comes too late since I need to change hotel on Friday since I arrive there on Saturday morning (from Rio). But I can try.
Anyway, I can always visit those places which have their own rooms for hour or two, but I would like to wake up in my own hotel room with the girl on my side.
in recife on business august..message for waterfront99 or other
Hey there waterfront or indeed others in the know. I saw your post on Recife. I am there on business at the end of August and I'the value your advice.
Wheres the best quality hotel in town that are girl friendly?
Also, which are non girl friendly if its a different hotel?
I'd appreciate any assistance.
And also, is the mongering info you talk about in your post on recife still accurate?
Updated suggestions for mongering in Recife?
I will be in Recife, Hotel Recife Praia, Boa viagem, 9 from November, 3rd upto November, 9th. Any info about this hotel and clubs or other places to have good action there?
Thank you in advance!
Girl Friendly Hotel/Flat in Recife
I always use the "Navegantes Flats" in Rua do Navegantes in Boa Viagem. It is a rather upscale Apartment-building with hotel-service. You may bring whoever you want as this is "your" rented apartment.
See pictures her. But you may get a better price than on this page:

Sorry for my late reply...
