I'm visiting Jakarta for the second time. I arrive a few days before New Year's Eve, and I'll stay for about a week before moving on to KL. I already have leads through IG, Tinder, and especially IndonesianCupid. Moreover, I'm aware of the girly/freelancer bars, spas, parlors, and WeChat from my last trip. Many hotels offer specials for New Year's Eve, and many nightclubs and bars are holding events. It appears that the parties and events are marketed towards couples. That's not a problem for me, I have a few options from either women I met on my previous trip, or girls that I am meeting online now.

I've only booked a hotel for my arrival date. I'm staying at Harris Vertu Harmoni in Gajah Mada. Their rooms aren't available through regular bookings for New Year's Eve. The room must be booked through an event package. I'm reluctant to book because there may be a hotel with an preferable event or party.

Any suggestions, recommendations, or tips about great places to enjoy New Year's Eve as a single guy or as a couple would be most appreciated.

I did change rooms within the same hotel just as a precaution. I don't think the police will be involved because the threat has changed to now her Uncle and his friends are going to beat me senseless. It was funny because the next message asked "Are you at your hotel, just answer yes or no. " Haha how dumb a question is that after threatening someone with violence. Anyway her name is Rhika, she reports to be from Bandung although I originally met her on DIA and she must have had Jakarta listed as her city or I wouldn't have reached out to her. Her DIA account seems to be deleted. She claimed she travelled all the way from Bandung to see me yesterday but hard to know what is true. Too bad because she was cuter than her pictures and she was actually really sweet. I think she has a handler or handlers doing all the heavy handed tactics because I cannot see her doing it but I could be wrong.

Did Starmoon go up in price? I had read 350 k but I was charged 400 k. Maybe I got a nicer room? It had a shower inside and mirrors on wall. It was better than some of the Soi 6 rooms I have been in.

When we say it has crappy rooms, that is in comparison to the very nice rooms at places like Hotel Classic which are the same price as Starmoon. There was a time when all rooms in places like that around Jakarta were that bad quality, but there are lots of nice new places with very nice rooms and the price is still cheap. I find it amazing that Hotel Classic isn't twice the price of places like starmoon.

They will probably move on to someone else. They stopped sending me messages yesterday after a total of 26 messages / phone calls. Its funny they put so much effort into this because if the girl just stayed for another day like she planned on originally she would have got plenty of extra money and I might have even kept her longer as I liked her especially as I had not seen any other girls here yet and so I had nothing to compare her to. I was paying what I assume was a relatively high rate of 2. 5 mil per day. Will be trying to keep that down to 1. 5 max in the future. But her texts come across as aggressive and pushy. Too bad, like I said she could make good money without the extra effort of scamming people or the person (s) controlling her could. Hopefully the posts help someone else to avoid her. Sounds like you didn't need them to avoid her. I almost did too but a delivery service on the first day sounded pretty nice. Luckily, I haven't had too many issues but I'm struggling to think of a time where she / they got more than what I would have paid if she had stayed full term.
