Noticed new piped music speakers in the rooms with two different colour wires going in to them. One is for the speaker, other for the camera. The speaker is directed down on to the bed. If someone can let you touch their assets letting them see is no big deal. They may be scared of getting caught on camera.

It is a good idea to always check the camera threat before action. Experienced guys could give some tips on how to detect.

There are high res security cameras that are so small and can be snuck inside a very small space. Whilst a speaker may not be the ideal place, if it has openings apart from the wire mesh, be cautious. Aside from wires, if there is a monitor somewhere that you can see, it's most probably for a cam. I came across two places with in room speakers and monitors recently. One at Battaramulla and another at Dehiwela.

Devices that are directed at the bed, blinking LED lights, small antennas and multiple wires may be indicative of cameras.

Best is to be very careful.

Be careful and make sure that they are original Maldivian. I was cheated once and I was told that a girl was Maldivian. She spoke good English and not a word of Sinhala.
