I decided to catch the bus from Boca chica to SD to hang with a few expats that muster daily at Romas cafe (Conde and Duarte). The bus picks you up at the park in the Middle of Boca chica. Being you are going to make the SD transfer at the Andres depot, the ride from BC to Andres is free. The fare from Andres to SD is 60 pesos. Nice smooth air conditioned ride with plenty of eye candy. The only down side is having to wait for the bus to fill up. The bus will take you within walking distance to Zona colonial and El Conde. El conde is always exciting to me with its cast of usual players. The Michael Jackson impersonator that has been there for years, the magician, massage girls tricking in a back room and a few free lancers.

Sitting with the expats chatting quickly gets updated on the happenings in SD and on El Conde. Noemi walks by with no bra on and flip flops but glances at us sitting at Roma's and keeps walking. She is probably one of the hottest girls I have ever seen but has a sour attitude. We chat about her banging everybody but now is looking for newbie tourists as none of the ex pats want her. She keeps talking about coming to LA or going to BC but the Conde has her lazy ass on lock down.

The bus back to Boca is basically reversing the inbound trip without the depot stop in Andres.

Troubleman is correct about Megacentro. SD is a big adventure to me with many different venues to discover. The thing that fucks guys up about SD is that guys see all these beautiful women and think they can put a thousand peso note in their hand and they will go. Wrong Charlie, they have Dominicans with money that won't even look at you unless you are a Dominican with money. They have poor Dominican girls who dress up, go to a spot in Piantini or Bella vista with rich Dominicans and don't care about tourists. The girls in Santiago are more arrogant but SD has its spots where this is prevalent. SD has strip clubs and quick fuck places that are cheap, but it's mostly for Dominicans.

Unless you spend time to understand the character of SD and its venues then your only option as a tourist will be the expensive casas. Even the internet are difficult as they run game on the visiting tourist.

As far as price is concerned, in a big city like Santo Domingo, what one person decides to spend really has no impact on what I or others are doing, but you were simply given advice on other possibilities that could save you some coin. I don't know about you, but I'm not a native spanish speaker, so any good advice to help me speak the language better, which will also help with communicating with chicas, which could also save some money, is always a good thing. Glad you had a good time, which is all that matters.

I have plenty of locals correcting me all the time, the problem with Dominican Spanish is there is no set rules to the slang. I can get buy in Mexico but here crap shoot. This is not my first time here but as posted I don't because too many are ready to pounce.

She may require training as well (and my experience is that hookers are not up for training).
