... I have never paid more than 1000 B ST in BKK. Never...
Of course, it is still possible to pay 1000 bath ST (and even less than that) in Bangkok, for instance with freelancers. But on average, the quality (beauty) of the providers is much lower than it used to be several years ago. It's now a known fact among the local girls that many foreigners are willing to pay quite expensive (by Thai standards) fees for below average and even very low quality.

I have not recently visited Hong Kong and Singapore. Maybe P4P is actually more expensive on average there, but if the quality of providers is much better for your bucks, then, you might have to pay eventually more in Bangkok (again, on average) to get similar quality.

Yes, some stunners can be had even in Bangkok for 1000 baht ST, but it requires much more efforts and time than in the past (as more and more not very attractive girls are on the tourist-oriented P4P market), and that's one of the reasons why many newbies, plus the misinformed and lazy punters, are paying much more than that (again, on average) nowadays.
Yes. You explained it well actually.

I have been to HK and Sing. recently. I liked them both alot. But the prices are much higher, even for SW's. Anyone can check the 141 sites for prices. The qual. is not better. Not even close to a ST cost in BKK. Sing. The same.

My main point was that BKK is not the most expensive place in Asian, maybe not even in Thailand. Some would say that Phuket may even be higher.
The problem which we must not forget are drinks. They cost something like 200-300 baht each
Prices mostly OK, but I've never seen 200-300 baht drinks except in boy gogos.

In cowboy drinks are from 60 baht happy hour beers to 100-150 baht regular drinks. Midnite prices normal drinks at 180, lady drink still 150.

Girl drinks mostly 150, although I guess you can get ripped for a double drink if you aren't paying attention.

At some of the smaller bars, you and the lady both drink for 90 baht.
Since Thais (and certain foreigners who patronize the Thai-oriented establishments) are paying only 1500-1600 baht ST
That's what I pay in Cowboy / Nana / Patpong. OK, excluding barfine, but at the Thai joints if you want to relax a bit, it's hard to avoid racking up 300 or 400 in drinks, girl sitting fees, ice, cold towels and other odds and ends. In the farang places it's more convenient to get a whisky and survey the talent in peace.
ST: The girl will say 2000. Then you say 1500. Then she says OK.
Yup, exactly.
I have gotten 1000 before (her offer, not mine)
I get 1000 offered now and then. A couple of times that I remember at Long Gun. Once was a girl wanting me to take her again, another one was just looking to close a deal late.
I have not recently visited Hong Kong and Singapore. Maybe P4P is actually more expensive on average there, but if the quality of providers is much better for your bucks
In Singapore the quality is mostly a step down from Bangkok gogos, for S$100 to S$150 for an hour, and more or less no chance of meeting the girl "outside". That's budget, there are tons of much more expensive options.
They usually discourage the best girls from leaving the bar early to attract punters during happy hour.

But, if 900 thb barfine scares you, then stay far away from soi 33 bars.
I guess there is no way I'd stay away from Soi Cowboy and Nana even if the barfine would be my own kidney. I have money to splash which was put away for exactly this purpose and it will be splashed to the penny. Only that it's good to get updated in order to avoid any surprises on the spot. If they would ask me a 900 thb barfine when I expect a 600 thb, I may think they're trying to scam me which is much worse than just paying extra. It makes me upset and feel humiliated. Now I know it's probably normal there and wouldn't mind much.

Also, sorry for being a pain but you didn't answer my question quite clearly. Is Baccara barfine always 900thb early and what exactly is "early"? I'll defintiely hit Baccara at least twice or so, so it'd be good to know the current price and situation.

I am sure you know there are lots of other options.
In Singapore the quality is mostly a step down from Bangkok gogos.
Good point Rocksoff. But how does Singapore compare the Bangkok in terms of freelancers? I met a girl in Bangkok who also "works" in Singapore. Although she was stunning. She seemed to resent the Filipinas competing with her in Singapore. She said they were able to "go with man more" because the Filipina girls spoke english well.
Hi, I'm planning a trip to Thailand sometime soon, have been RTFF, gone back over 20 pages. I have a few newbie questions some respectful memebrs could clarify:

1) How it works in Thailand seems to be get a GF hotel. (still need to read this section, advice welcome). Go to Soi Cowboy or Nana's and find a girl. The question is to do with prices because reports seem to vary a lot:

ST = 3 hours? Where you can cum a few times. Price = 1000B?

LT= whole night Price=1500B?

2) Does it cost anthing to enter the bars? Ie you can bar hop for free? Bar fine I gather is about 5-600B.

3) I heard reports about LB and ex-guys. Presumely if you pick someone from the gogo bars your safe.

In all, it costs 1500 including bar fine for 3 hours to bring your girl back to your hotel?

Thanks,
About girl friendly hotels, I would recommend all of the recently built properties owned by compass hospitality, excellent value, no hassles getting the girl back home and and o charge, totally safe, and tip the night guard a small amount everyday and he will guard you against all LB's, I would recommend- admiral premier, legacy suites, kingston suites or any other newer ones from their web site, rooms are classy fit the budget, proximity close to sukhumvit, all is good.
Mind if I ask why you go to these places and pay for drinks, BF, and higher rates for these girls. I know you are not alone, but what is the attraction for you?

I am sure you know there are lots of other options.
I know there are other options and I will try them as well. I will be going to Nataree massage and perhaps try to find some sweet creature on the street near Nana hotel or elsewhere on the street. Each "option" of having hookers is exciting and attractive to me in its own way. And it has nothing to do with the price. It's all about psychological satisfaction. If I wanted to only get a hooker I would manage to find one here in London for £150-200 an hour and perhaps even get very decent service instead of spending £2000 for each of my trips to Asia (it is alot of money to me). And yet I do it and feel perhaps 100x more satisfied.

Different people are attracted and excited by very different things. Look at people's hobbies. Some people spend piles of cash on such hobbies as fishing. And to me it sounds like the most boring thing on earth. I love taking photos of buildings, cars and roads while my mother thinks it's only for mentaly unstable people. .

When it comes to sex, for instance, I love 69 and licking a pretty girls ass (even if she's a working girl). It is hugely satisfying to me. However, some people I know think it is disgusting because "so many other men sticked their dicks there". So it's all about person's personal perception and feelings rather than something objectively true.

Same with expensive go-go bars which are indeed an attraction in itself. To me (and I don't mean it has to be the same for all) It feels good to be in a place packed with 100+ girls in bikinis, among whom there are some very hot ones, and knowing that you'll be banging one of them tonight. It's a good feeling. It's like going to a meat shop while being very hungry and thinking of the steak or Schnitzel you will be making that night from one of those juicy slices of meat to satisfy your hungry stomach. . Therefore there is no such thing as "overpaying" for a go-go bar or any other kind of establishment as long as you genuinely enjoy it (unless, of course, there is some scam involved) and it provides you with a service of happiness.

And how many of us here have iPhones, Macs and other Apple devices? Well, in my opinion, those people overpay about 50-100%. Or are they? Depends how you look at it: just plain specs and comparisons or the whole "experience"? I used to discount the experience factor but I'm starting to understand how important it actually is. Perhaps more important than the technical factors.

Anyway, mind you, I travel to Asia once a year at best (and usually Thailand takes only 1/2 of the total time spent in this continent). If I did it more often (at least 2-3 times a year) or lived in the place, I would probably have a very different attitude and would be up for experimenting. For the time being, however, I need to get enough of the mainstream stuff before turning to the expert / underground / pro / you name it.

A lot of fun can be had in BKK and at different prices:

The low budget kind: 350 thb.

Go to chinatown and have FS for 300 thb from a street girl there, she will go to her place so no need to pay for ST Room. The extra 50 thb is for Condoms. However I guess they would not be mandatory.

The Expensive kind: 5, 500 thb.

3 or 4 drinks for you and your girl@a well known NEP or SC spot, Barfine, LT and drinks in the room.

The high Roller Kind: 13, 000 thb.

Go to a G Club with a Friend and order a couple botles, mixers and girls. With Lady drinks, will be about 9, 000 thb. The Girl fee will be about 4, 000 thb (and she will meet you somewhere because they are not allowed to leave with customers)

I just don't like the hustle of the gogo / bar scene. I have been to BKK 6 times now. I walked into one of them for 5 minutes once and realized it is not my scene. To each their own.

PS: I bet a lot of us like 69 and licking pussy/ass. A session would not be complete to me without it. :)

In the farang places it's more convenient to get a whisky and survey the talent in peace.
In Thai go-go bars, the modus operandi is indeed different (and you have to make your choice early or almost immediately go to another establishment if you haven't seen someone attractive enough when you entered the place), but it's rather interesting (IMHO) for the punters who can speak at least some basic Thai and who know the ropes, especially if they want to pick up an attractive girl for a long-time session. You have to stay several hours with the girl before the sitting fees in the Thai go-go bars amount the average barfine that is charged by tourist-oriented establishments, and the drinks are much cheaper on average in the places patronized by the locals. Last but not least, on average again, the girls working in the Thai go-go bars are much more attractive (at least to my eyes and those of many long-term residents) than the girls that one can get usually in tourist-oriented places for the same (and often more than that) amount of money spent (although, the services provided are often better, again on average, with girls picked up in the tourist-oriented places).

But that was not my main point. Some people here were saying that one has to pay 4000 baht (not including the barfine and lady drinks) for a LT session with an attractive girl in Bangkok and implying that the punters who are paying less are "cheapos". Some ISG members wrote that people who are not willing to pay as much as them end up with "ugly girls". I'm tired of reading those ridiculous, derogative and (mostly) untrue statements (some people have, IMHO, a poor taste in girls, but quite often, it's not related with the amount of money spent). The locals pay much less than that for (on average) more attractive women. As foreigners, it's normal that we pay a bit more for similar quality as our girls usually can speak at least some basic English and above all, they often perform better (I would say that paying about 25% more than the locals is reasonable). But we should not pay twice as them or more, especially for girls that are much less attractive, older, fatter, have stretch marks, etc.
