Big market (including automobile spares across Hyatt Regency). You may find fully covered (Abas) Uzbek built T55s patrolling the street in broad day light or sipping coke in McDonalds or KFC. I don't think worth trying. Never asked the price but someone told me as little as AED 100.

Side road between Ramada and Majestic. Mostly African or PRC and poor quality. Available from 6-7 pm onwards.

Recently, I have noticed a lot of Africans by the side of Panorama after 7-8pm. I have been told that they are not allowed in Panorama before 09 pm (may not be true). Presumably they start hunting there before entering Panorama. Quality may be very good so does the price. I saw them and actually I was approached by them in March.

Thanks for the response guys. I would like to avoid a congested area like Bur Dubai. And definitely no building with no security, being a newbie in Dubai. If it comes to that, I can stretch my budget to 80/90k if 70k is too less. BTW, are there good buildings / sub areas in Bur Dubai or all run down properties. Tecom location also seems perfect but not sure if I will get a 1bhk in a good building even if I strech to 90k.
