Bangkok Reports

The p4p situation in Bangkok deteriorates a little more on every visit. It is over-hyped, over-commercialized and over-priced. Read this and weep for those that recall the glory years of the seventies, eighties and nineties. I hardly recognise the once notorious Thermae and Nana Plaza is a sad ghost of its former self with near empty bars and abysmal quality. Tell me its because of Songkran and its not like this all the time.

Nonetheless, this is Thailand and there is still plenty of fun to be had. Picked this 1000 baht ST Buriram 20 year old from Nana Car Park and she was quite good fun although she surprised me by turning down an extra 500 for a second pop. But I was kinda pissed so maybe she reckoned it would be too much like hard work.

Hope that Pattaya hasn't slid as much as Bangkok has but I fear the worst.

Thanks[/QUOTE]Was in there last night. It seems to have been taken over by East Asian clientele. One or two lookers but I think they are only interested in the 3-2-1 crowd. Sad to see this formerly great all night party venue brought down so low but I guess that it never recovered from the stricter licensing hours. I forget the number of times that I have staggered out of there (or its nastier, more atmospheric predecessor) at 7-8 in the morning.

I did however think the MP quality was much better. I got several take outs from MP's. Also, seems like the SW's were somewhat better.

As far as I am concerned, I am rather confident that I have a pretty good idea of what is the real market value of the local P4P girls I am dealing with. Some girls have a ridiculously inflated value on the tourist-oriented market (and among them, many have absolutely no value for the locals, as explained [url="http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?2186-Pattaya-Reports&p=1144013&viewfull=1#post1144013"]here[/url], for instance), so, I just don't deal with them. It's rather sad to see that many (misinformed or lazy) punters (mostly tourists and newbies) overpay for fucking these girls, especially as these girls are often disrespectful and usually consider their customers as stupid walking ATMs who don't know much about Thailand, but "c'est la vie", and there is not much that can be done to prevent this.

My own frame of reference is (mostly) the Thai-oriented P4P market. Actually, I have noticed that the low and middle-class Thai-oriented venues are where I can find the girls who attract me the most. In the Thai high-end places, the available girls tend to have fake attributes in order to look more "westernized" which I usually dislike (that's exotic for the locals, but not for a Westerner, obviously!).

I understand that I am often expected, as a foreigner, to pay a bit more (as explained earlier, 25% more seems reasonable for me) than the locals to get an attractive (at least to my eyes) girl, but I certainly won't pay twice as them (or more) for similar (or lower) quality. Believe it or not, but even in the tourist-oriented places, many decent girls do accept what I consider to be a reasonable fee for their performance. Some foreigners don't seem to know that discussing the price is the custom in this country for about anything. Of course, negotiation is easier with freelancers, but is also supposed to be done with bar and go-go girls too, and according to my own experience, those who are not willing to go with me for a reasonable fee are best to be avoided (lazy, poor performers, etc.), as a reasonable fee on the P4P market is already very good money by Thai standards. I much prefer the honest and "hard-working" kind.

I am not as rigid as some readers might think about what I consider as "reasonable" prices on the tourist-oriented P4P market. The prices that I am willing to pay for ST and LT session vary depending on many criteria. I take into consideration the beauty of the girl, her attitude, the services that she is willing to provide, in what kind of place I found her, etc. And even after agreeing on a fee, I might give a good tip or offer an incentive for some extras. But beyond certain limits, I consider that it's overpaying (as I know what I can usually get for a given amount of money in similar locations, for similar quality, services provided, etc.).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yes, but... if you have a look at what women are considered as beautiful worldwide (models, actresses playing the love interest in movies, etc.) nowadays, you will notice numerous common criteria, of course, with certain cultural variations (in many Arab and African countries, they seem to like girls that are much fatter than what is favored, for instance, in Western countries). And people usually like something that is a little bit exotic or less common locally (a fair skin in Thailand, for instance, blue eyes in Latin countries, etc.): those relatively rare physical attributes are definitely a plus on their respective local P4P markets (but for many tourists, it's not the case, because what is exotic or rare for the locals is not always rare or exotic for them, hence some divergences in the perception of the value of certain providers between tourists and long-term residents, for instance).

A few days ago, I saw a tall young guy (probably in his late twenties or early thirties) who looks like a mix of David Beckham and Justin Timberlake in their prime. This guy is probably very successful in his own country with women, but in the Land of Smiles, his girlfriend is a woman that most locals and long-term residents would deem as particularly unattractive (and that's a polite understatement). Moreover, everybody can guess that she is (or was) a P4P girl, even from a 200-meter distance! I reckon that the girl has impressive (and apparently natural) breasts and a sexy mouth, but nowadays, I would not fuck her even if it was free (or only after having been deprived of sex for several months, maybe), and these days, I am far from being as attractive as the afore mentioned guy. I don't even want to be seen near a girl like her in normal conditions. But this young tall guy was walking proudly arm-in-arm with this girl. If he stays long enough in Thailand, he will certainly realize how vulgar she looks like to the eyes of many locals and residents, but at the moment, he doesn't know (ignorance is bliss) and he might even describe his conquest and her "beauty" in glowing terms. That's what happens also quite often here. For him (and some members here), this girl is certainly (at the moment) "worth every baht spent", but it's usually not the case for people who have already spent some time in this country as this kind of girl has no or very little value. So, don't be surprised if some people among us say that other members overpay for their providers. Unless they live constantly in a bubble, those who spend enough time in the Land of Smiles would eventually realize this too.

And finally, as explained in another thread, you can find super cute girls at "rock bottom prices" in Thai venues, for instance, in the local brothels.

I wrote the following in an earlier post: "The girls working in Thai-oriented venues usually don't speak any English. Most of them are already earning good money (by Thai standards), so, they don't have the need to go work elsewhere. Moreover, some of them prefer having to deal mostly with Thai customers for several reasons (for instance, they are probably easier to satisfy on average, the communication with them is easier, etc.)..."

Those are not located in Bangkok. Other cheap options do exist in the capital city (in Chinatown for instance), but I don't know yet any brothel in Bangkok that is similar to those that I regularly patronize, for instance in Northeastern Thailand.

But if I want to go to three places, one drink each, I end up paying the same (3x120) as I would pay in a farang area. Personally I don't care that I get a bigger bottle of beer, the less beer I drink the better for me.

(In fact, at some farang places I'd pay 150 for a drink, but at some Thai places they'll charge me 20 for ice and 20 for a cold towel.)

In the end, I don't find the Thai places all that much cheaper. If you make a quick mission, one bar, one girl ST, maybe they're 300 or 400 baht cheaper, say around 2100 (1600 + 200 room + 150 beer&ice + 120 sitting) vs 2500 (1500 + 600 bf + 300 room + 100 drink) , everything considered, excluding tips.

Here we're strictly talking about the Saphan Kwai joints.

The reason I'm writing is because for a long time I desperately wanted to share your opinion, and I hunted high and low for the cheap fun Thai places. I had all kinds of adventures, and I still venture all over, but all in all I have to say the farang-oriented places in Bangkok are more well-run, better value for money, have tons more girls, and are much naughtier. Actually I wish someone will prove me wrong! That's why I'm writing this (smiley).
