On one hand I agree, if the guy didn't like the prices then he should've kept his mouth shut and just left; pointless arguing with the waitresses anyhow... If all you have is p35-50 K per month as an income then you tend to shop for the best values.
A person on a low fixed income then needs to figure out how to live on his budget. To economise eat at home, for example. Burgos is quite well known as being one of the most expensive areas to party. Either stay away or limit the visits. At the Arab place in Burgos I had a chat with an retired Yank who mentioned he was living on his government pension of less than $1 k per month. All he did was whinge about the price of things and how George Bush was responsible for his p!ss-poor pension; I suspect his story was to elicit sympathy and an offer by me to buy him a drink. In Malate several times I've had foreigners join my table and they're shameless moochers; you buy a bucket of beers and over the course of the night they never order a round. More than happy to drink on someone else's chit. There's a lot of these clowns around.

I live a nice 40 sq. Meter one bedroom condo overlooking the bay and eat well. Most of the time, my hot and sweet little 21 year old girlfriend is here, sometimes she isn't. I do this on social security (I took it early), a very small second pension and a part-time job through the USA. By no means do I have the type of retirement that some others have, but I live quite comfortably and happily, and it's a better retirement than I could ever dream of in USA. I don't even consider my job work. It keeps my brain exercised, keeps me updated on my profession, and it pays for all of the food in the house along with the utilities. It also provides funds for if and when I go out for awhile.
I live in Malate. No Huts, that wasn't me mooching beers. I only drink top shelf vodka. Other than some a $$holes on the street that you'll find anywhere, it's perfectly safe, although I couldn't tell you about late at night since I'm pleasantly tucked into dreamland. The building I'm in is so safe that many families are in it. I've never seen or heard of an incident involving any criminal activity either inside or within 200 meters of the front door.
Yes, I don't have the retirement that some guys have, but when I was working, I didn't have the income that Bill Gates has either. If you play your cards right on what you have to work with though a very pleasant little retirement life can be had. Sure, my girlfriend is an expense, but a pleasant one. She asks for very little, and I make sure she sends 1,000 to mamma in Negros frequently. That's less than the price of a night out, and out of choice rather than necessity, the nights out are fewer and farther between. In 20/20 hindsight, I wish I'd have done this sooner.

Sorry about the double post. Don't know how it happened, and I can't seem to delete it through the editing feature.
Welcome. You have plenty of money. Define "fun" if it's different from what's available in Makati, e.g. Burgos and Havana, and discussed all the time here. If your idea of fun is the same as what's discussed in the Makati thread (you posted your question in the Manila thread) then you already have your answer. If you have have specific questions such as "Can I meet 10 girls a day?" or "Are 3-ways available?" or "Can I hook up with a starlet?" then the community can offer advice. Good questions get better answers.

I posted mine a short while ago, http://www.internationalsexguide.info/forum/showthread.php?2902-Philippine-Residency-and-or-Permanent-Visa&p=1696578#post1696578. Are you about the same, higher, or lower?

Should I spend my time looking for freelancers or bargirls?
Any professional strip club?
Is MBC worth to visit?
Any nightclub busy on weekdays?

The answer to all your questions is "yes".

.
Actually, the answer to whether MBC is worth visiting is, "I challenge you to find it."

Any nightclub busy on weekdays?
I think Burgos is your best bet. Plenty of places to get drunk; if one isn't working for you walk next door and maybe it's better. Though none are strip clubs you can entice a girl to give you a bit of show. You can find a few freelancers walking the street or hanging out in the Bellagio Hotel's resto bar on the ground floor. From Burgos it's a short taxi ride to Havana where there are many more FLs. The advantage of FL is no barfine, but you have p20k a day, so barfines shouldn't cause you any undue concern. Yes, nightclubs can be busy, more so if the weeknight is a payday, typically the 15th and 30th. There are a few nightclubs near Burgos such as Time and 71 Gramercy. LA Cafe is a legendary place, so yes it's worth a visit, but it's hit and miss, mostly miss, for young, attractive women. From Makati I wouldn't commute there any earlier than 10 pm on a weekday... traffic.
There a dozens if not hundreds of FRs for all the places I mentioned.
Simple answer: don't use your real name, especially not surname / family name.
More details:
To open a facebook page all you need is a valid email address.
So go some place an create a new email. (yahoo, gmail, etc.) don't use any real information when creating the new email.
When registering / opening the new facebook , do not use a nickname or handle that you use elsewhere. example my first ISG name was something like QwertyTommy (not the name I used), and I used that name for email, facebook, ym, etc.. if someone googled the name QwertyTommy, they could quickly gather a lot of info about me.
Once the new facebook is created, do not befriend any real life friends, relatives, coworkers, or non-mongers on this account.
Do not use photos that are used elsewhere, search engines can now find duplicates photos from multiple web sites.

I believe both yahoo and gmail require a (mobile) phone number to be provided when creating an account nowadays.
My above reply was to someone asking about fake facebook accounts. Update. I needed to create a new facebook yesterday, so first step was getting a new fake email. True, Yahoo did require a mobile number, but there was no verification of the mobile number, and no sms.
Result new email account, and new facebook in about 5 minutes.

Any nightclub busy on weekdays?
Just a little bit of advice (although I have broken this rule several times): you should pass on getting drunk when you visit here. Seems like you are a 1st timer and doesn't sound like you are going with a group of friends, so you should keep your brain functions on. It is a foreign country and you have to make sure you don't do anything stupid or wander into a bad situation.
