The alternative might not have been so pretty, either.
She'd have to pay me if that happened!
Man crazy stuff happens!
In MV one girl went with my boy and she was on her period which wasnt revealled untill she got in the room.
Now that's a tampon turn off!
They didn't itemize your bill?
No they did not.
You should have gone back with your Brazilian friend IMO.
To help us figure if this place you mention is new or not, did you crossover the main road (Rio Branco) from 4 x4 to get to it? Could it be 502? (was it the corner of Rio Branco?
It was 502, there is a huge Black dude at the door. If you like Big Bundas, you will not survive the experience. There is a girl in there called JAJI. She has a huge ass and an insatiable appetite. I will always go there.
Agreed!
One time at MC, in the beginning, when I spoke no Portugues, a girl left in the middle of session to go to the toilet and stayed in there 15 minutes! LOL.
I told her to take her stuff and leave when she came back and went and spoke to Ivan and only paid entrance but even at MC they prefer to side with girl and just give you free entrada the next visit which is bullshit.
You can't take it lying down-they will repeat.
Its Brazil.
I will be back in September, I will take you up on the offer. I just hate that they ruined my vibe.
The only places near there with bar and rooms are 502,119,t81 and Meia Cinquo (T65) - price wise 250 only matches 502- rest are cheaper (81,119) or dearer (65).
That has never happened to me in Cancun.
Very surprised to hear that actually but come to think of it there arent that many gringos in there ever.
Occasionally a couple of black dudes from US have been there but that's all I can recall-very Brazilian but not ghetto spot.
You should have checked your bill-everything is itemized and you could have pointed to things as they would have had to justify costs.
Too late now but never leave w / o bill-probably best to go with someone who speaks portuguese but like I said, I have never had ANY problems there and only good times.
Couple great times and couple good times.
My bill was not itemized. It was simply handwritten and they gave me a card to leave.
Should I go on the meter or negotiate a rate?
My bill was not itemized. It was simply handwritten and they gave me a card to leave.
Even on the handwritten note you can make out what's what.
Should I go on the meter or negotiate a rate?
You can use this fare estimator to determine approximate metered rate. Depending on the day of the week and time of the day, there are two rates. Bandeira 1 means 6 am To 9 pm Monday through Saturday. Bandeira 2 is 9 pm To 6 am And all day Sunday. At least you'll have a target point to dicker over the price.
Should I go on the meter or negotiate a rate?
Dicker,
Curious with whom you think you would negotiate a rate from the Airport to Copacabana? Your Uber driver?
Hi friends,
I have done a lot of RTFF and wow. The amazing wealth of knowledge. Hats off to ABG, Sperto etc. , who have added so much of their experience. As I have used this wealth of knowledge, I came back from my "hmmm. 1 trip". But promptly updated my newbie reports. Sorry experts not anywhere close to the richness of your data.
I have one more opportunity to escape US and boredom for 7-10 days. I am very much into eastern European types. But seen the challenges there. I have been to Rio and absolutely loved the luxury part of it. Like MonteCarlo. No taxi, no Portuguese, no nothing. Easily go, sip beer and enjoy the day. I am not into large risk taking or invest time in travelling a lot.
So for this "mental rejuvenation" (haha). I researched a lot and lot around SP, RDJ, BA, Warsaw, Frankfurt. Boy the research is so addictive. Took a lot of hours.
I was pretty happy at Brazil due to the comfort nature of the Thermas.
1. I am thinking 4 days in SP and 4 days in RDJ. (made friends with Thermas girls and got 3 phone numbers and what's apping them now).
Is Sampa like Rio thermas, or all is in Prives. The escort websites in Sampa is much superior to RDJ as they show faces. Are they mostly real or fakes?
I like to really try the 8-10 grade / model quality as I only get once in 5-7 years to do this trip.
I am looking at apartments. What is the best locality for mongering. Absolutely not interested in tourism. Just pure mongering. Safety. Luxury - access to high quality mongering are the requirements. Due to the fact of no Portuguese, thermas were helpful, but figured out with whatsapp I can manage contacting. I am very open to requesting the service (for compensation) with some of the local experts (like BrazilExpert).
2. Argentina seemed OK, but as much I read the forums, didn't get the same comfort of RDJ. (Bubba's report was the foundation for RDJ research. So it lead me correctly).
3. Poland. For the Eastern European. But looks like. Fakes / calling / waiting / rip-off.
4. Frankfurt FKK. Looked nice to me post the research.
Can the experts kindly debate and share your wisdom. Sincerely appreciate the help. (right now leaning heavily towards SP+RDJ, followed by FKK. If some one has experience on Poland. Kindly share it).
I plan to post this in the respective forums to get "specialized country expertise from guru's.

Suggest you PM members if you want additional information and stop cluttering the forums.
Should I go on the meter or negotiate a rate?
The only way to get a cab from the airport is to go upstairs to the departures level and get in a cab that just dropped someone off. Try to be discreet since they're not supposed to be picking you up. I do it every time I go to Rio. As far as I know it's the cheapest route.

As far as I know it's the cheapest route.
I used to think the same thing especially since I speak Portuguese and can negotiate with Brazilian Taxi drivers. Then on another forum a gentleman who makes multiple trips to Rio a year and has written his own guide pointed out that there really was not much, if any, money to be saved. With the strong dollar, that is even more of the case. Also, if you have to wait for an elevator it becomes a hassle. Sometimes in our attempts to feel like we are not getting ripped off, we do things which to an objective observer really don't end up saving us that much. In this case, I thanked the guy for pointing it out and now take taxis on the departure level where I have been known to negotiate for fellow tourists who do not speak Portuguese.
What you should pay is the rate on the meter plus about 2 Reais per bag. If you are set on saving money you can take the bus.

BTW, finding this information took all of 30 seconds including reading time.
What you do want to avoid are the women yelling at you as you exit the customs area and also anyone who approaches you in departure area They are not your friend and they are not there to help you.
