Looking for a clean nice hotel (4 star) probably only a kilometer or a few north of Jakarta centre.

Meeting a couple of ladies from Bandung, may move after I meet them, appreciate any suggestions, must be lady friendly of course.

Maybe you can go there more than one time before offering your expert opinion on the place How do you suppose CJs bar better regulate the quality of the hookers? Well, instead they could hire 'quality' girls to show up, but then it would run into other legality issues aside from not being a 'freelancer' bar any longer. I'm pretty sure the prices of the girls would be higher also. Your point is really nonsensical because all they can ensure is the quality of the music / staff / atmosphere, and your only real complaint is the expensive 200 k beer entry, which most people here are tired of hearing, and which we know is out of your budget. If you know of a better freelancer bar which has cheap beer and ensures only hot young girls show up, I'm all ears.

I can understand how you prefer the Thailand gogo bars, mainly for the cheaper beer prices. But the funny thing there is the girls there can't dance and always look bored from old perverts drooling over them. The environment can be drab and depressing also. They also pester you for lady drinks, and you have to pay 1000-2000 baht barfine before you can even get them out the door. So all costs considered, you are looking to takeout a lady for the evening, you are paying about the same anyways.

The room was only $100 usd a night and they bumped me up to the JW Marriott Suite which was huge (around 150 square meters). It was perfect for entertaining 2 girls. Best room I have ever had in Jakarta.

Best room I have ever had in Jakarta.[/QUOTE]One thing I can say about Marriott is that they really take security check and precautions seriously, unlike all other hotels who are probably just doing them half heartedly. Granted, they had been attacked by terrorists twice over the last decade or so. Then again, it does take time to get in and out of the hotel. But at $100 a night, it is a very good deal.

My last stay was at Ayana Midplaza at Sudirman and I like that property. There is Skywalk building next to it with plenty of restaurants in there, where I would usually like to get breakfast and dinner. There is a good ramen restaurant on the second floor if you are a fan of ramen.

Park Lane hotel used to pay the girls to hang out in their bar area. The girls would still go home with any guy who asked them, but the hotel wanted to guarantee they had girls so they paid them just to show up regardless. It's a good idea because otherwise they wouldn't have had any girls at all there. Park Lane used to have that commercial on TV where the guy was promoting both the steak dinner and the girls, he said in the commercial "come for the beef", then he put his arm around a hooker and said "then stay for the chicken". Best commercial ever. LOL. I don't currently know of any bars that pay the girls to show up. Top Gun used to give the girls a free orange juice for showing up. CJs doesn't need to do that since it's already the number one free lance place in Jakarta, but I wish more bars did it.

Has anyone been to the Hotel Krystal bar called Satu Lagi lately? That place used to have some nice free lancers, but I haven't been in a while. I think it was only one night when the girls showed up, but I forget the night.

Wrong heels or some excuse for not letting them in.

200 k is poor value for a beer. It's not about it being outside of my budget. Same reason I refuse to drink wine in Indonesia. Places charge 1,000,000 IDR or more to drink a bottle of garbage wine.

I just feel stupid, like someone has taken advantage of me when I pay 200 k for a beer or if I paid 1,000,000 plus for a cheap bottle of wine. A taxi won't turn on the meter I get out rather than pay the inflated fixed amount.

Same principle as paying 1 m IDR for a 35 year old single mother at CJs when I can get a cute 20 year at Classic for 365 k.

When you splash around money they don't like / love you more, they just think you're an easier mark.

They charge too much for that first drink to be buying a beer, water, or coke. Once you are inside, the price of a beer drops. You can buy a beer for your second, third, etc, but for entry it's very poor value for money. For first entry drink, I buy either a long island iced tea (also 200 k) or the cheapest bottle of wine they have (around 600 k). If you are coming with a girl, the bottle of wine is the best deal because it covers both you and the girl's entry fee and you have more glasses left over. The wine isn't a bad investment even if you are alone because you will not need to buy any more drinks for the girls that join you, they can just grab a glass of your wine.

They serve two completely different markets. CJs is all about the experience and Classic is all about cheap. If you think sex with a CJs girl isn't light years superior to sex with a girl at Classic, then you have likely never been with a CJs girl. You will be hard pressed to find worse sex sessions in Jakarta than at Classic, those girls are as starfish as they come. But they are young and cheap.

If you are under the impression that the majority of the girls at CJs are at least 35 years old, that leads me to believe you have never been there (or have maybe been there once on a very bad night, looked around, and left quickly). I have been to CJs hundreds of times and I have never been with a girl as old as 35 years old from CJs. There are some around, but I ignore them. I normally take a girl between 19 and 25 years old from CJs. I've taken about 10 of them to Bali over the years. You won't be taking a hotel classic girl to Bali.
