I also contact this girl on DIA a while ago and chatted with her on MSN. In both her initial reply on DIA and the following chat she was very interested to know if I had been to Thailand before. And I have, quite frequently, which seemed to make her loose interest. I can only speculate in her motives, but I found her a bit weird to be honest, so I left it there. She seems to be immensely popular among guys on her various net communities, which I can understand.

I can totally understand that. A lady I know is also popular on DIA site and she would NEVER meet a guy who visited LOS before because she just assumes he came here for sex.
The mere fact that guys use prostitutes makes them lowlives persons in the regular girl's eyes. It's a fact. So better tell the ladies you have never been to LOS.

I normally don't give her a lot of baht, but she never goes hungry, or lacks for new clothes or shoes.
You just never know with these women as their logic often works in a backward, and/or, sideways fashion. But I've found this to be somewhat true with women throughout the world, not only in Thailand!

She probably meant both - the great majority of farang living in Thailand make far less than the tourist visitors. Teachers are a majority of working expats, and make only around 30-40 thousand baht per month. Most of the rest are retirees, whose wealth is of course highly variable from one to the next.
I had been e-mailing her about 1 1/2 years ago on DIA. I think she is looking for "THE Boyfriend" who will take care of her. I went to Thailand to try and meet up with her and it never happened. Got the "I am busy", "I am busy", "I am busy" routine. No worries, time to move on to the next.

Mention a few places but avoid Pattaya. She will ask. My standard answer is that I have heard about Pattaya but never went, even more avoid it, as it is a place where only the loosers of the western world make their holiday. That always has worked quite well as that subject was never discussed thereafter.

He also tends not to be "on holiday," so the idea of blowing a whole lot of cash just isn't usually on the agenda.

[/QUOTE]Let's see, living in Pattaya, looking for a farang on a dating website, has photos from trips to nice spots in Macau and HK. I think that would send a few warning signals. I don't know, I find DIA has a real mix. I meet many ladies who obviously are out to be taken care of, a good number who perpetually lie (I have a 9-5 office job, but can be found online every night at 2-4am). Then there are others who are nice, just looking for a serious boyfriend. I would say there are just as many who are interested in someone who has been to Thailand before as there are those who aren't. I'd say the former are far more trustworthy then the latter.
OK I have this non P4P Uni Masters Student who happens to have an identical twin. I've gotten to them both but one is getting married so I'm left with just one.
I was going to take her off to a conference in Hanoi after I come to bkk next week but me and big mouth... she happens to mention to me that she is not happy at her Asset management part time work and wanted something in HR (her masters is in HR) and something in tourism.
My big mouth opens and I say, hey I'm chatting with the Executive Director of XXXX hotel (probably one of the top 5 hotels in BKK) hold on a minute... she gets an introduction, she gets an interview, she gets friggin hired and starts today.
She calls me today with the GREAT news, not only is she a trainee but she's getting PAID (in this economy??? as a trainee are you kidding me) and meals and laundry but they will also let her work around her masters class schedule.
Bye bye week long holiday with her in Hanoi but as she says... she'll love me forever and never forget me for helping her...
