I think i can take a taxi from Airport to pattaya cheaper than 1600.
Any ideas fellow mongers.
I've used the service of Mister T. Taxi several times in the past and highly recommend it: 1000 baht (toll fees included) from Bangkok Airport to Pattaya.

Met a girl in Lucifer Disco last night, bought her back to the Baron Beach Hotel. She was 19, the hotel wouldn't let her in, as I was told by the night porter that the hotel policy is the girl must be at least 20 to come in. Tried to offer him some cash but nothing worked.
I have one more night in Pattaya and don't have a hotel yet. Would like to see her, any one know of any hotels where this shouldn't be a problem?
There must be a million.
Try Dynasty Inn on Soi 13. Maybe more than you want to pay, but.

Try the Eastiny 7, or Soi 7, or Eastiny Plaza on Soi 8, they most likely will pay you to bring her in?

Hi all
I am considering staying at either Walking Street Guesthouse or Queen Vic, and would appreciate any advice.
Walking Street Guesthouse seems like an ideal location, and very reasonably priced. However my only concern is security. As a low budget place, smack in the middle of the melee, will my luggage be safe in my room?
Queen Vic seems to be a bit of a favourite with this forum. I see the hotel is located above the bar/restaraunt. Does this mean a 'walk of shame' through those wining and dining?
I'm hoping they have a seperate entrance leading straight the the rooms.
I don't think you have to worry about the walk of shame at Queens, The place is located in Soi shame, the lobby and restaurant patrons eating are all shameful and the owner sitting at the bar looks shameful. Shame is part of the atmosphere!

thanks for the info lbm.
having done a bit more research, it seems soi 6 has an agressive lady-boy problem. i don't much fancy the idea of fighting through a sea of 6ft nutters, after a few hours of drinking!
with the help of this forum, i have drawn up the following shortlist
malee hotel - 700bt
walking street guesthouse - 600bt
anna jet's guesthouse soi 7 - 550bt
galaxy suites - 1000bt
i do plan on visiting [CodeWord900] and devils den on more than one ocassion, so will probably end up staying somewhere near lk metro.
any suggestions would be most welcome.

On top of that, there is a fire escape at the back of the hotel. You can get to the room with your girl using that and avoid the main hotel entrance completely. In fact after, I think, midnight you can only use this method to get into the hotel. Really not a problem.
I enjoyed my stay at the QV. Reasonable room, TV & DVD and free Wireless. Oh, and cheap as well. What more could you want for a short stay. No pool, but you pays for what you gets. . . I'd go there again. Also, the location is good IMHO.
Cheers

You'r luggage is never safe in any room anywhere in Pattaya! Anything valuable must be kept in a safe. WSGuest house has in room safes.
Also try the hotels at the corners of Soi Diana and soi Bukouw just across the street from the very popular girly bar mentioned many times on this forum (the name escapes me..(yup, DRUNK)) 1 block from Lolittas and devils den. Both hotels are GREAT deals on mid range hotels under 700bt. Did I mention GREAT deals??? They really are. two hotels, Opposite corners. One has 24 hour 35bt beers in a big open casual drinking area on the corner, hotel upstairs.

Recommend the Queen Vic, soi 6. In room safe facility. Separate entrance yes. However, the hotel is some way up from Walking street, several min by baht bus or a 15 - 20min walk allows you to see what`s on sale along beach rd. Numerous times i did not make to walking st, bit of shopping got in the way.
