Swinging is not something accept by the Thai police, including the internet censors. There was a very active swing party group in Pattaya about 3 years ago. He moved the club, had some financial problems...and no longer throws parties. They were some of the best swinger parties I have ever been to. The best part was that most of the females were European.....which made a great diversion from Asian....for a couple of hours. Also, these women were not here to talk......it was a great time and I made some great contacts....I have even visited one lady in Spain last year.....and she introduced me to a bunch of friends there...I never had such a great time.

There is currently a party group operating out of BKK....they also have parties in Pattaya every other week. There is an invitation only party in BKK every few weeks that requires an interview. Let's hope the new mall will be a good pick up point for freelancers at least. Works quite well in other parts of the region.

I believe there is another thread for places to stay, but my quick two cents:

Booking ahead isn't really necessary, as there are so many choices, and vacancies, given the whole airport disaster (fewer tourists, hotels desperate).

If you really don't feel right just showing up and finding a place, you can check out sanya's apartments - they have a website, something like sanyasapartments.com - search, you should find it. Decent enough place, but not next to beach. Just the same, as I said, such places are a dime a dozen right now.

Can anyone please let us know whats worth while and what to stay clear of in Pattaya from very recent experiences.

We thought staying on Walking Street was a great option, walk out the door and right into the thick of it, I love it, but if I am mistaken please correct me with some other/better options.

We particularly like rooms that refresh linen everyday, have a safe in the room, GF (love all the million and one acroynoms on this site, I need a new window just for them while I read all your interesting posts to decifer what I am reading! ).

And something close to the beach if thats possible, I love swimming, so I would like to be able to walk to the beach easily. And while I write that is there any nude beach swimming allowed in Pattaya?

I have an admission to make I wasnt reading the (my screen) site correctly and have since found the accomodation threads by areas *blushing*, my trouble is I am guiltly of not scrolling down far enough on this laptop I am using because mine died and this screen is smaller.

I have to talk to the owner of the one club first, probably better to PM me. The invitation only club, where the interview is necessary is a separate place. I will ask the guy and his wife if I can give you the contact info first. went down to patters last weekend before the xmas mayhem and high barfines took effect. not too crowded, here are a few bar notes:

windmill -- another great gogo. they've kicked most of the ugly girls to the curb and there are lots to choose from. the barfine is quite high - 700 baht, and 1000 baht before midnight. no thanks. but the draft beer is only 45 baht during happy hour and it's a huge glass. it also opens quite early - 7pm, so it's a good place to start the night out.

coyotees -- very good place, but as i reported earlier, there are at least 2 girls in here who are 16. they have no tattoos, and one has braces. as the night wears on and they get drunk, they will agree to go st upstairs for 2800 baht. the bar seems to have no qualms with this although i have no idea how they avoid the cops, who are usually very strict on the **** policy. anyway, be careful! it's definitely not worth the risk, no matter how beautiful she is!

took a stroll down soi 6. pook bar, which is a ladyboy bar, has a good bar upstairs with normal beautiful girls. they also serve beer laos. starting talking to a few of the girls here - one is 18, so be careful, but there are a few others who are definitely doable. the lady drinks are the most expensive i've seen in pattaya - 150 baht. but the girl i was talking to was cute so i ordered one for her. eventually i asked how much short time was. i was quoted 5,000 baht!!! i couldn't believe my ears. even the girls in the artist bars in bangkok don't quote that much. i just laughed and said "good luck".

Hi fellow mongers,

This time, I am coming with a question. I have just tried to book my normal hotel where I always stayed when in Pattaya. They also confirmed, but what they confirmed was something totally different from what we agreed on the phone, and what I asked by email.

Therefore, if they are not going to rectify the mess, I might want to change - even before I arrive. Does anybody of you fellows who are right now in the center of pleasure know about (relatively) decent hotel that has still rooms available? Check-in December 30, check-out January 10. Just give me a hint, and I will call them and check it out.

Thanks for good ideas, and in return, I will post, of course!
