Anyway my GF here checked, and they were open. Very nice hotel in the North section close to Vlla Fontana. Nice size pool, and breakfast included, plus Wi Fi, and hot water. $40 a night. Don't ask me the phone number as I forgot to get their new one. After that hotel I went to a private apartment near Good Times.

Not much monger info for you guys. I did hear that the heat is on concerning P4P. Fennix, and Good Times are still open. Snuck away from the Novia one night, and hit Good times (50 cord admission ). I usually have a great time there, but this time was not very good. I bought drinks for 3 girls (110 Cordoba per drink.) the last girl that I sat with had a terrific natural rack, and was very sexy though not trying too hard to please me. Anyway she quoted me $40 for a session. I told her last time I was there it was 600 cords. This did not budge her, and I was not that horny anyway so I left.

At the airport I ran into a Bluefield native. Naturaly I asked him about P4P there, and he said the discos have a lot of willing girls who like gringos. Some Pros, and some non pros. If you like girls with a nice dark tan this may be the spot for you.

Now comes the part were I may catch some heat. I know the party line on ISG is that always take cabs to these clubs. I myself when asked recommend others to do so. I think I do this since I have never had a problem in all my many trips to many different Country's, and besides I love to walk. At this stage of the game for me I really don't sweat these thugs. I carry no more than $100 on me and if they have a gun or machete they can have it. Other than that we will see what happens.

I think this is my last trip to Nicaragua because of all the power outages, Internet down time, and poor general shape of the whole area, On other trips I have toured most of the main spots here. I feel I will now try other Country's. I will miss the Nicas as they are as hot as any women I have ever run into.

Nicaragua certainly is not getting better. I left January 4th and haven't been back. In the last 7 years I was in Managua every 5-6 weeks. I went through two relationships, the last ending two days before NY Eve, and I am just tired of the commute. I am back October and have a ticket on TACA for Christmas, and I will see the tone and temperment in October to decide if I am going back in 2011.

And I have 3 friends with benefits including the December ex, so it isn't lack of girls. Just tired of the treadmill.

It seems like nicaragua has some charm to it and pfp is available but you have to give up things in order to get it. Once I do somewhere like that once or twice I am usually over it as well.

Ie. Guatemala.

You don't have to be gangbanger tough. The barrios where you [B]can [/B]go are decent enough, Fenix is on a arterial road, so is Good Times (which I still think is a waste of time, buy YMMV) and it is next door to Cueto Club , Morena is in a retail area in a good barrio. I don't like the pricing but Bellmarys is in a great barrio in Cd. Jardin, residential, clean, quite nice.

My ex-GF lived in and then near Camilo Ortega. There's no casas etc, there but it is a definite non-gringo area. There I was tolerated and my Man Friday is armed. There are other quite obvious barrios that are very dangerous, example Jorge Dimitrov (the police don't go there) , but again, there is no reason to go.

Going to Fenix every day using different cabs or a trusted driver is not marking you for anything but a regular customer.

How much you take depends on how much you drink. I heaer Fenix is all in under C$500 and a taxi roudn trip unless you are across town is maybe C$50. Leave with C$1000 and you are probably OK. That's US$48.

The buses are horrible and useless, just cheap. The last time I was there a knife-wielding robber was taking money as he walked down the aisle while it was moving. Unluckily for him he was shot to death by a passenger 3/4 of the way down. Not an every day occurrence but an indication. Gringos shoudl avoid them at all costs.

As for walking even in daytime it is too big and things are too far apart for this to be practical, vs. Being dangerous. At night it is dangerous. This is a city with cab fares cheaper than Bangkok and that's saying something.

Best thing is find a cabby recommended by a hotel, etc, get his cell and use the same cabby. They will appreciate the regular income and you have a regualr car.
