Wow. Paying $100-$150 dollars in Pattaya! Very sad. Last time I was there (just a few weeks ago) , out of 6-8 sessions the most I paid was 700 baht, and the least was 500.

Aside from this though, the Dominican exchange rate is running at 42 / USD so the value is easily better than Thailand. That is, as long as you are experienced with the Dominican hustle and you take well to big ass girls it may be worth it to you. Also the travel costs & stress from Canada can't even compare. The Thailand disneyland sex scene is hard to match at any price though. You can only hang in the DR for so long though so Thailand carries another big advantage.

I'm not cheap by any stretch, but in my humble opinion, those of you paying in excess of $100 for a date (in any capacity) might just as well stay home and pay for high priced services where you're at. I hit Beach Road 2-3 times in December, and there was absolutely nothing worthwhile. Just a bunch of skanks I wouldn't go with if they paid me $150. Never had a problem like this in 10 years so far. Quality has been getting steadily lower, but quantity was still there and it was always possible to find something. Time window when fair amount of talent also got reduced, from 3pm-2am to roughly 8pm-11pm last year (maybe a few hours longer if police doesn't come through). Then, they have that awful market.

I'm almost ready to declare the Beach Road dead for good (for me) , but maybe it will bounce back. Any thoughts? Are there any other alternatives in the 500-700 baht range in Pattaya (I know Soi 6, but that's a zoo, and ends up 1000+).

I found 19 and 20 year olds all 4 times I tried over a two month period, but I had to put a ton of leg work in. The last time it took more than 45 minutes of walking around. At the end, with the moto fees to and from the room (up on 3rd Road) it was just too much, even at 700 Baht and with 3 of those 4 girls having really awesome bodies (even surprised me). Got some of their numbers but they only worked occasionally so rebooking that was tough.

At the same price range you could try the massage parlors on Chaiyapoon. Low end places but you can find girls of equal quality to what you usually find on the beach and you don't have to pay for a room. Shouldn't be more than 700 all in. Sometimes even less. I've also gone all in for similar prices on Soi Honey at the small massage shops during off hours. Beware that you might hear a guy a few tables over getting his shots in though.
