A member reported a couple of weeks ago that XY Zen in Tijuca seems to be closed. I read in another Local Brazilian forum that it seems as if Starcris agency might have shut down this past week, because the website is down, and no one is answering the phones. Also, it may be pure coincedence, but a Brazilian friend of mine on ground zero relayed to me that this past Thursday afternoon, he went to Seducao Carioca apartment located in Gloria neighborhood, and no one answered the doorbell. He also called the phone number afterwards, and no one answered. What gives? Anyone hear anything similar about these places or pthers lately?

Is 4 x4 open on Sunday?

On their website, it says Mon-Fri.

I know Monte Carlo is open. I am really interested to check out the termas scene.

Thanks for your help![/QUOTE]All termas in the centro are CLOSED on Sunday. The large ones are closed on Saturday too. These places cater to Carioca businessmen of the Centro. If you notice, most shops on Avenida 'Rio Branco' close down Saturday at 1 pm. Centro becomes a ghost town as of 1 pm

Saturday afternoon till Monday morning is 'familia' time in Brasil.The ladies / staff need a day off too.

MC is different because it caters to foreigners.

I have no clue about the present-day late night pick up options in Copacabana. Someone just mentioned on the forum that Star Cris which seems to be the only escort agency operating in Rio has shut down. I witnessed something really funny for the past few months. All 3 options are guaranteed to make any stay based in Malaga so much better. Dinner or lunch at Aconchego is a must. If you have 2+ people get the shrimp cooked in a pumpkin, the fejoiada bolinhos, and the bolinhos of ox-tail (rabada, I think). The house-made pimenta is AMAZING.

I think on Mondays you can use the entrance fee towards consumption or they can waive the entrance if you session with a girl and don't buy any drinks[/NOPARSE].

3. Termas 65 - [NOPARSE]R$270 for 40 minutes and R$340 for one hour[/NOPARSE], plus another [NOPARSE]R$90 for entrance. They used to have R$40 towards consumption on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays but they got rid of it at the beginning of the new year[/NOPARSE].

I never quite understood the logic behind the huge price discrepancy between a 40 minute and 60 minute session in the Copa Termas (MC, Solarium, Centaurus).
