Current black market rates!
I have a question regarding current black market rates. Generally I have been using dolartoday as a guide, but also recall that there was a time awhile back where it failed to adjust for quite some time and wondering if that is happening again now. Prices are again rising steeply and even though I receive more than the Dolartoday rate I am still finding things very expensive. My last exchange I received 110 for when I paid by transfer and received in a local account. At the same time I also just exchanged $10 in cash for 1100 en effectivo. So, I am confused usually there is a greater difference by approximately 200%. On top of this an arepa mixto cost 180 and I just paid 350 for a sopa de pescado and 100 for a cerveza. When I ask the price of things in the market, a lot of things are more expensive than Canada or Colombia given the rate I am getting. Is this just an extreme example of a non-functioning market, are things getting ridiculously expensive? I see on some other sites, some quotes of around 160-170 for the dollar, is that a more reasonable price? Am I getting a good price for effectivo and a poor price for transfer? Can anybody explain a bit?
Thanks,
S.
Dance Clubs to pick girls
Wow sounds like you know a lot about Cuba, please go to Cuba page and give a detailed report, and would be a good start for you.
Yes girls are in dance clubs to pick up but you better be careful and ask the girls when she is alone and you just have to sass it up like you are making an offer for a girl friend type situation. Don't bring up money unless she does. You may just end up fucking a girl for free but be a gentleman and give her some money as most of these poor girls don't have money for food.

Changed at 185 yesterday.
Well, good news for any monger coming to Venezuela, the dollar definitely is once again on the rise. During this week the black market price went up over BsS. 50, and increase of more or less 40% of what it was a week ago.
Changed at 185 yesterday. So yes. I hope hotel prices for Eurobuilding and such did not go up because of this. As they had gone up from $40 to $75 per night.
