Just got approved for the DTV. Took 14 days in total.

I applied online in Brazil. Price was 2000 reais. ($357 US at the time). Provided a copy of my Airbnb stay in Brazil, paystubs, a recent photo and picture of my passport and a letter saying I was allowed to work from home from my boss.

They reached out a week later and asked for proof of 500000 that in a bank account or a sponsorship letter and an employment contract or certificate of employment saying I'm a remote worker, digital nomad etc.

I responded with a PDF showing the money in my bank account and a letter from my human resources saying I'm a remote worker. A few days later they said they need and employment contract or certificate of employment or a portfolio showing I'm a digital nomad, remote worker.

So I had human resources make up an employment certificate saying I'm a remote worker and that sealed the deal.

So paystubs didn't work nor did the letters at least at the Brasília embassy I applied to for the visa online.
