It really depends on many factors, but yes, in certain cases, "non-pros" are more expensive. Let's say that you just want to have a one-night-stand. With a real "non-pro" girl in Thailand, it does not happen very often, so, you will have to date more than one girl to succeed. Moreover, as explained earlier, real "non-pro" girls very seldom go to a date (especially on the first one) alone.

Not so long ago, a friend of mine started to date a real "non-pro" in Bangkok. On the first date, the girl came with her older sister and two female friends of them. They all had a nice dinner at a good (but not particularly fancy) restaurant overlooking the Chao Praya river, and as it is the custom in the Land of Smiles, the supposedly richest person (my friend) footed the bill (about 2000 baht). If you go to Sukhumvit, tell the taxi driver to avoid the tollway. If it's not rush hour, you only will spend maybe 10 minutes more. Hence you will save 65 baht in tolls plus a few baht on the meter (distance is actually shorter). The ride is scenic; you get to see some clubs (massage parlors and / or KTVs). But becareful about taxi drivers who might feign ignorance and claim not to know that route; you can also negotiate a flat fee, and he certainly will avoid the tollway.

To be even more of a Cheapo:

You can take the non-express train to Makasan, and then walk to the metro. From that metro stop, you will have access to the underground and the skytrain. But that walk is a real pain in the rear (maybe about 10 or 15 minutes).

To be the ultimate Cheapo:

Be like a local and take the local bus (never done that personally).

There are four Airport Express Buse routes that make regular stops at hotels along Silom and Sukhumvit, etc.
