Manila
MK there is plenty on this in this forum so RTFF will help you, people have even said what is cheaper in their view.

Someone asked / said that this is Cali Pro under a new handle? Aka Tar Heel be. Can anyone confirm, as the writing style etc seems vaguely familiar.
We all remember Cali Pro well. One of the biggest w-ankers to have been on this board for years. My favourite quote of his was something like " well if I take her back to my dorm and she performs well I will throw her a p50 note ".
DC,

I believe you will find that MK is our old friend Calipro so not such a rookie.
Not a good way to break into this forum!
Anyone know which one is cheaper? I've never used Uber before much less in Manila. Finally downloaded the app. Will use it tomorrow and find out.
Uber bases their pricing on demand so at times they can be more expensive. The real question is do you want to be riding in an unregulated and unlicensed vehicle driven by some rookie borrowing his uncle's car!? Uber has a promo where upon downloading the app, your first ride is free up to a certain amount.

After going to a movie with a date, I decided to go out clubbing. Headed to Malate. Went to Eklusive around 12 am, no cover charge. Not alot of people there. Did their pricing go up? They charged like 130 p for a redhorse. Made my rounds and decided to walk over to MBC. Lots of haggard females here. No cute waitresses like on my first trip a few years back. Had one beer and left. Walked back to remedios circle and went to ZXXYZ (sp). Place was packed. Like always tons of Koreans. Was invited to a table with this tall curvy Korean girl and her Pinay friend. Maybe I should have tried to game the Korean, but generally you are wasting your time with Korean women. Stayed here for about 2 hours and went back to Exklusiv. Opened a group of 3 and danced with one girl the rest of the night. It was 5 am before I knew it and she said she had to go, so I just got her number.

I guess since I know I am here for 30 days I am procrastinating on setting up night dates with DTF girls. This first week been focusing on meeting good girls / potential wife material that I am not going to try and fuck yet.

Need to get busy and get shit in gear by this weekend.

Was at my apartment in like 5 minutes.

The supermarket in Century City Mall has a great selection of Western food. Some of it is a bit pricey though.

In over a hundred rides I've never had a dangerous driver, a driver who tried to cheat me, or anything other than an excellent experience in a clean, relatively new car. I'd recommend it strongly.
Used Andros on my first 2 trips to Phi. Some drug stores will ask you for a prescription and other will not.
Thanks MK. I just got to my hotel here (Executive Plaza Hotel) near Robinsons Mall, but before that I stopped by a Mercury Drug store. I asked if the had Rite Med (Sildenafil), but the male pharmacist said I need a prescription and gave me a little smirk. LOL.

I guess I have to visit other pharmacies and ask them.

Some things I noticed on my first trip to the Philippines (and some advice):

1.) If you're feeling adventurous and have very little luggage, you can try to take the bus from the airport to EDSA / Taft and take the metro from there.

At the airport, Terminal 3, the bus line starts near Bay 8 (was it 8 Bay? Either way, it's not difficult to find. You take the Route 2 bus towards EDSA / Taft. Fare was only P20.

LRT train to Pedro Gil station was P15.

I made a Filipino friend who helped me tremendously navigating through the streets around there station to find my way into the station.

On the way to EDSA / Taft, there was a shitload of traffic already at 3:30 pm when I got on the bus. Oh, and I passed by the infamous EDSA complex and say Heritage Hotel across the street.

2.) Push your way into and out of the trains. I took the LRT to Pedro Gil Station and oh boy it was jam packed. Again, use the metro if you don't have a lot of luggage.

Honestly, from now on I'll probably just use taxis to avoid the crowds.

Going to try another pharmacy to buy Andros or Rite Med before I start the night. It's already 6:30 pm!

Unless it's surge pricing, Uber will always be significantly cheaper (and verifiable with a emailed receipt on the breakdown of the cost). Yes, Uber has it's share of rookie drivers, but the normal cabs can be crazy drivers as well.

I've had 50+ rides with Uber in Manila and only 5 have been pretty bad (driver took forever, driver missed my location, etc). If you are going to a random place or pickup location, it might get a little difficult.

Just asked and they offered Pfizer or Rite Med, the former being something like 4 x the price of the latter. Note that Rite Med is the company name, not the drug name, ie Rite Med produce other drugs too.
Anyone know which one is cheaper? I've never used Uber before much less in Manila. Finally downloaded the app. Will use it tomorrow and find out. Ill go to EDSA Ayala terminal from Century City. Going to take a bus down to Alabang to party with some girls at Club Coco.
Uber is awesome. It may be a few more or less but its worth it 100%. No adding money on, no dirty smelly taxi. Aircon works. Safe and no stealing. Plus they always pick you up. No crying traffic, I don't want to go there.

Most countries in the area are depreciating the local currency in relation to the US dollar why is this currency staying so high?

Surely if China can devalue to encourage exports this country can do the same.

Or are the overseas workers who remit holdings to the country stem from going to bankruptcy.
Heading out to Manila tomorrow and am stoked? Thanks for all the advice. Will report when I have time.

I've been prying the internet for information about generic Cialis and of that sort. One source mentioned that Mercury drug stores carries a generic called Andros. Can anyone confirm whether I'd need a prescription or not? Or are there better alternatives?
Used them a while ago in Cainta and my double act failed miserably due to high dose hypoglycemia in the medicine that I bought from this reputable store, admittedly it was a single dose and not the packet.

Buy your medication where you live.

Wrote a report about it a while ago but used the chemical term Hg.

Best bowel clean out I ever had.

Barra
First of all, the entire Philippine economy is about the size of a small pimple on the ass of an elephant, so a currency depreciation would go largely un-noticed globally. Second, the country exports so little that devaluation would make little difference, and it imports huge quantities of rice and virtually all manufactured goods, so a devaluation would harm importers. Most of the larger importers are controlled by the families who own most of the country and the government would never act against their interests. Finally, natural market forces have driven the local currency to its lowest value vs the dollar in five years.

Visited an old friend in or near Alabang. She invited me to a club called Stratosphere the other night. As you can imagine, this place was all locals and cheap. Not very big but it gets packed every night supposedly. Might be due to the dancers and the booty dancing contest LOL.

I took a bus from Ayala MRT (I think). Didn't take too long to get there. I had fun.

Need to find some cheap places in Manila for dates. Tired of paying 130-200 p for a RedHorse. Like to get the bucket of 6 for 250 p. Anyone know any lively fun clubs or live music places in Manila which have local pricing?

Oh, another club in that area that is lively on the weekends is Club Coco.
