I have read that some where as well, probably in ISG. From my personal experience, tear / rapture has never happened. I am not very convinced about the friction part, key to this is both the condoms should be tight fitting, since movement is in the same direction (wrt the condoms) with lubrication (natural or otherwise) and on smooth surface, there is no reason for friction there. Just my opinion though!

But single one has up to 98% protection. Also there is a trade of between pleasure vs. Multiple rubber. But, whatever works better for individual should be the choice of preference.
