Love in a time of War, or at least Sex in a town of Violence
Noon, Uruguiana metro.
I am standing waiting on two girls, Rayssa, and Barbara a negra from Vila Mimosa. Without warning, two gunshots ring out at the middle of the station near the windows where the fares are bought. Later, Rayssa texts me that someone was killed. As soon as the shots ring out, everyone drops to the ground, and men run upstairs after the gunman. Good new girls come quickly, and some "established" pros are better to be avoided.

This kind of talk just kills it. I mean, I could pay a girl that much and more if I really liked her. But, doesn't it occur to these Brazilian GDPs (or Brazilians in general for that matter) that if they just continue to push out the little time wasters ("frio" for 3 minutes, and similar, to eat up 30 minutes out of 40 minutes in a terma session) AND think of their pussy in terms of 500 reais per hour, that the small marginal market of men who have that money to spend, are going to say, forget it, I negotiate about money all day long, every day, which is why I have money, and I don't want to or need to talk about money constantly with a woman that I want to fuck and relax with?
So, after a on again great, off again (for some of the reasons above), and on again great mini relationship with a terma girl who is basically coming over to the apartment for free after work, when sometimes we fuck, and sometimes we don't (if she has her period), which comes out to 30- 40 hours of time together in a usual week, including in social places in Gavea, or in the apartment for sex, or in the apartment just to relax; I look at the normal 'market' of "luxury companions" with a jaded eye: every time one of these girls starts to talk about how "I spent 4 hours with you at MotelVIPs, but you only paid 2 hours at my normal rate" it makes me want to puke all over the pathetic real Class the lives and backgrounds that most of these so called top tier girls really comes from.
Not just tourists, but brazilians as well.

Apparently this was more of a "hit" to get the guy's payroll bag. It's still super odd and not normal that it happened in the Metro (not on the platform, near the ticket area). The O Globo story says you can see the perps clearly in the security footage.
Rio is going to have a big fucking problem if the Metro starts being seen as unsafe, especially with the Olympics coming and the extension of the Metro to Barra with a stop at Rocinha. Already I have Brazilians saying that putting a stop at Rochina is going to be a problem and prevent people from using it.
The city needs to crack down. He shared with me an experience that was not so good, and it occurred a couple of months ago. He was held at gun point while walking out of a bank and heading back to his business. It was mid day in Ipanema, not Centro at night. So bottom line, becareful!
Bringing the girl back to my place
The ultimate goal for me on my Rio visit was to bring girls back to my apartment for fun, freebies, or even a mini-relationship. I didn't get to do this on my first visit because I made a lot of mistakes. I will share these mistakes so others may better plan ahead.
Mistake 1. Half of the girls I had a really good connection were escorts. From the start, escorts come over your apartment to get paid for a service. So it's a really hard transition to coming over for fun, or a date for little or no money. I still think it can be done with repeated sessions but it's going to be hard.
Mistake 2. The girls I really liked being with turned out to be moms. It was rotten luck really because these girls had to go home to their kids. They really wanted to hang out but couldn't. Some of these girls live quite far away so they to leave Rio pretty early as well.
Mistake 3. Poor logistics. I had my apartment in Copa and asked girls in centro to come back to my place. Some wouldn't care but surprisingly many girls didn't like the 15 minutes subway ride to Copa. In their view, it was just a hassle. I should have asked the girls in Copa or Ipanema to come back to my place or gotten an apartment in centro for girls in that area.
Mistake 4. Poor screening led to bad rapport and no chemistry. On my first trip in Rio I wanted to try everything. So I tried out girls who were giving me less than inviting vibes in various circumstances. This was a big mistake because the sex was dry; communication was flat, and no possibilities of going any further. In the future I will be screening my girls better.
Mistake 6. Things to do. I think this point is overlooked a lot. Once you get the girl back to your place, you're going to have sex. Lots of sex. Then what? If I want a mini-relationship with the girl, there has got to be something else to do after the hours of sex. In hindsight, I didn't prepare much for that. Now, the veterans of this tread shared that they smoke, listen to music together and so on. While my ego will have me believe I could have winged it and it would've been just fine, there is nothing wrong with planning a little fun for both of us to enjoy.
Mistake 5. No Portuguese. I left this for last because I didn't want it to be an excuse for others to not try. My Portuguese was almost non-existent on my trip, and many times I had to rely on google translate for communicating with girls. It is a hassle and there is a hint of awkwardness from the girls. However, we both manage to have an awesome time, cracking jokes, laughing, making fun of each other, and making fun of our less than perfect communication skills. Trying to talk dirty through google translate can be an amazingly hilarious time if you're with the right girl. Still there were times when I wanted to articulate something really suave and sexy to say, and came up short. Also it was saddening to say "Nao entendo" after the girl said something really sweet, loving, and genuine. A true GFE moment not fully realized. I'm studying to fix this problem right now.
