I noticed Herman didn't have any girls at his beach bar the half dozen times I walked by, it looked like a sausage festival.
The Casino that adjoins Pure Disco on the West end of Playa Dorada had some fine looking chicas working there if you got the moves like OldKool.
Roadway Disco in Playa Dorada was completely dead.
I checked out Chalos and Charlies and the other bar closeby in Puerto Plata it was pretty much all guys ,on a friday night.
I seen one double decker Caribe bus heading towards Santiago, damn it was tall like 16 or 17 feet. 13-6 is the limit in the USA it was few feet taller than that.
The Liqueur store just past the middle entrance to the beach on the left in Sosua, beers are still 50 pesos. The Orange tent on Sat and Sundays is right in front.
I had a few cheeseburgers at The Mofongo King right at the middle entrance to the beach, I ain't much of a foodie but was damn good.
Don't know where Big D is, his beach place was closed 2 of the 3 times I was there and he was nowhere to be found.
The first beach you come to after turning West towards Nagua after the Toll road looks like it might be an interesting stop on a Sunday afternoon, and with the Cabana directly across the road even better.
My friends kept asking me, "What happened to this girl...from Santiago?" I responded 5 of the girls got knocked up the other one is in Spain, nothing new to me, the hot ones will find someone else if you drop the ball. LMAO
Didn't run into any road blocks coming or going to SDQ from Sosua and traffic was really light in both directions. One thing to mention though I came up on 2 orange cones in the road 10 minutes North of Las America Highway and almost split them, instead went around, the road was completely gone, washed out by the Hurricane I guess, that would have been interesting at night.
I wanted to check out Playa Grande on the weekend but the weather didn't cooperate.
I made sure I took my Mastercard Debit Card booklet with me proving I had collision coverage with the rental car seeing one guy here said they don't rent cars with debit cards anymore in SDQ, I didn't have an Issue with National and they never looked at the booklet, their website said otherwise and said they do not accept debit cards.
Here is a pic of the PACSAFE Coversafe 100 Travel Waist Wallet BLACK that goes under your pants, it is supposed to be pick pocket proof or resistant , a big upgrade from the walmart version seeing it is wire cabled to you instead of elastic, and the bottle cooler by far my best purchase to date seeing I only drink cold beer and usually throw away more than I drink.

Just head up to the publico stand, tell the driver aeropuerto, he gestured to us with 4 fingers which meant we had to pay double the rate ie: for 4 persons. He dropped us just before the ticket stand, there even was a little area where you could see other vehicles had got off the pavement to drop people off. We gave him 200 pesos and a 200 peso tip for stowing our luggage and helping us with it upon arrival. Worked ok, I would do it again. I thought we would have to walk from the highway, so when he brought us in we decided to tip him. Had to walk maybe 100 yards.

The fare from Sosua to the airport is about 30 pesos, as I recall. I usually buy two seats, I. E. The whole passenger seat or half the back seat. It is not that I am fat, but have wide shoulders.
When getting into the taxis at the terminus you can pick and choose your copassengers to some extent, so you might want to avoid traveling with very large co-passengers who suck out all the air.

It is just a few minutes on foot, OK with a carry-on, but a bit sweaty with anything larger. The walk is slightly uphill. Sometimes you can get a publico at the gate, because a lot of airport workers use them to get to and from work.
