a couple of you have recently mentioned that there is some sort of crack-down on p4p in managua due to the upcoming elections. first, the coming elections are a joke. daniel is going to win, basically unopposed. alemáand is only running to try and get a few of his own people into the asemblea and basically positioning for the 2016 elections.
secondly. what crack-down on p4p? i see nothing different in the p4p scene here in town. good times, fenix, elite, diamond club. all are open for business as usual. i have not spent much time in the smaller casas recently, but word on the street is these are all running as normal.
give us a few 'specific' examples of this alleged crack-down.
sure that goon in charge is going to win hands down, but still they always have a crack down of some sort before an election.
my info comes from a person who is trying to open a bar / casa in an area i care not to mention. the chief of police is dragging his feet on the issue as he says there is a crackdown on **** putas. i don't see what that has to do with opening a new place but that is what was told to my friend.
as far as manugua i was told the major places are allowed to operate, but the smaller ones are catching some heat. i don't know the reason, but the club across the street from good times i saw was closed on my last trip two weeks ago.
it is hard to get good intel on nicaragua as there are few mongers, and even fewer trip reports. who knows, maybe that is for the best.
sorry i could not meet you in person on the trip i took a while ago.
