I happened to visit ville chine. It has been a good experience. Now I wonder if anybody has gone to LaVie at Levent? I have just seen the sign and wondering about it.

Arrived in Istanbul today. Thanks to the informative feed from this forum, went to Aksaray to scout around for potential chicks to bring back. Went to Ikram (or something like that) which was highly recommended by this forum but no one was there. They started sending out a couple of girls but none which struck me so decided to move on. Drop by a couple of bar but because it was still early (9 p.m.), there wasn't any girls to look at. Then arrived at Rio Night Club and the waiter told me that it was they can get the girls in ten minutes. Decided to stop by and have a couple of drinks. Then came one girl which was pretty hot looking (8/10). Reminded me of Liv Tyler (tall, pouty lips, brunette etc.). I took her for drinks while my friend waited for other girls. Came the second one which was below par but because there wasn't any girls at the time, decided to buy her a drink. A couple of drinks laters, found out that ladies drink is Euro 50!!! Imagine our shock. Anyway... spent about Euro 400 at the club (we left immediately after finding out about the price for ladies drink). It was only a couple of drinks (about 4 for the girls and 2 beers for us). Took the Liv Tyler look-a-like while my friend took another that came in later back to our hotel. Bang the girl and was pretty SOP. Nothing to shout about but felt really, really ripped off because of the drinks at the bar so guys, be warned.

Places recommended in this forum is really safe.

You should've wait for an hour until 9-10pm for the Melody or Irmak and late night for the Barcardi. Patience would easily keep you 400Euro in your pocket.

Anyway; at least we know another place by nem which is a "NO GO" with expense of a fellow monger.

I'm afraid you'd have a similar experience in most Aksray Discoteques/Muzikhols (especially the discos):the local punters don't drink like a Brit/German/Dane, they sit down for two hours with a cop of coffee or a glass or raki. The exorbitant price for a lady's drink (anywhere between 30 and 50 euros) is paid ONCE, when you've found the lady you want to take out. The drink substitutes for what would in Bangkok be called "bar fine". That said, there are discoteques where they overcharge foreigners and play tricks like having a lady join you at your table and serve her "unsolicited" drinks.

50 EUR is the total charge you pay at BACARDI, including 2 of your drinks, one lady's drink and all the other stuff you're obliged to take..

The same story costs you only 30 EUR in IRMAK.

On the other hand, you only pay the entrance fee of 20 EUR in SERENDA or BALANCE( ALTINISIK ) that includes one drink and the other stuff..( luckily no need for any drink for the girls )

It's still so adventurous and exciting to expolore new places....:):D

on monday I left work a bit early since not enough blood was heading towards my brain, and too much was going somewhere else making my tousers look funny. One could easily claim that a trip to Aksaray was due, because of medicinal purposes. Dont want the brain to die and such ;)

Only reason why we went there was because it was early and there wasn't any girls at all (well, good looking one anyway) at the other pubs/discos at the time. Guess patience isn't one of my virtue. Anyway... a very well learned and expensive lesson. After last night's disaster, had a quiet night tonight with just a restaurant and a couple of beers at the hotel lobby.

Another thing, once the taxi drivers know that I'm a foreigner, they really start to rip me off (had to pay YTL20 for a five minutes ride). He fiddle with the meter along the way, I think. Didn't argue with him because was in a rush for a meeting.

What kinda of pissed us off was that the head waiter sent a girl which my friend didn't like and asked the head waiter to change (and he didn't). Then he opened up a bottle of champagne. When we saw him uncorking the champagne, we called his name and asked him to stop but he pretended not to hear. He only responded once the champagne cork was off (S.O.B.) and told us we can't return it because it was opened. He then explained that the champage was for the girl (and this was after we told him to ask her to leave twice!).

Since mid February, my place has been renovating, therefore I am staying with my parents.

Due to warm weathers, my parents decided to take a vacation. According to the first plan they had to stay till end of the week, but they got bored and decided to return early. On Monday afternoon they told me that they preferred to stay 1 night in Bursa on the way to Istanbul.

Under the article 227 of the New Turkish Criminal Law soliciting is not a crime. Mongers and women who solicit cannot be punished, unless monger had sex with minor (under 18) girls or boys.

Also according to the Police Duty and Authority Law, police has the right to inspect hotels and places where soliciting took part.

However, they have no right to take mongers in custody, and the girl unless they illegally entered the country.

In reality, police annotate his duties largely and let the monger go(as long as your documents are in order or you are a foreigner). But always take the girls in custody and take them to health check and document check.

But if you are busted in Jandarma authority area, than things are getting more complex. As a monger you are still free to go, but the girls unfortunately don’t have that chance in most of the times.

I remembered myself with this kind of situation,
I was 18 and my grandma cought me, called my parents , it was a disaster I had the worst days of my life. (I think the biggest problem was the girl was fiance of my brother)
