I have so many great options now. But unfortunately my 'night near the airport' falls on the Sunday where everything closes by 5 pm.
Nevertheless, will have to do a good eating tour of this area on my next trip to the city.
Casadelrey on KR 7 and Calle 22, a great restaurant, Huge--in an early 20th century building-- attached is a coffee bar, good burger joint, taco house, sushi joint, and a sausage place. They have their own bakery. ].
Couple of months ago, a newbie poster wrote a very good write-up. Someone should have put that on a link to the Reports of Distinction.
He stated that he had no problems getting Uber from Santa Fe.
He must have gotten a Comfort Level or higher level ride.
I found that out on my last trip. If you pay for the higher level ride (double to triple the price), then they come fast. It is still extremely hard to get a ride on the lowest level Uber ride from Santa Fe. The Uber system is broken.
I usually just check the prices on Uber, and then I use InDrive.
Someone also reported a mugging late at night, after the main strip-joints closed, when he was walking to his Uber. Note that Uber cannot pick you up in the street that has the main entrances to the strip-joints. He should have just used the taxis that are parked in front of the strip-joints.
I only stayed past the closing time of the main strip-joints once. I felt leery; the street was getting empty. I took the taxi parked in front. Just pay the extra money. All other times, I feel safe when the street is full of people.
Sometimes no inflation at all. IF you speak Spanish and operate like a local.
An amanecida for 400 k still sounds expensive to me in 2024. You can still get it for 300 k or less easily.
My advice, if someone starts to negotiate with you in USD, just walk away.
Bango is right regarding USD negotiations. Give the girl one chance to negotiate in COP then walk away. Competition is high in Bogota and there are lots of girls to choose from. Many have said this before, but give the girls silent treatment if they do not agree to your fee. Many will come back and agree to your demands.
As for overnights, I tend to see the girls for an hour beforehand to sample and they know who I am. More often than not, they agree to negotiated fee and period. But the main message is, keep it to COP and never in an other currency.
That is only if you do not know what you should be paying. If someone tells you 500 K and you say ok then that is your own damn fault. If you say jajaja claro que no: 120 k, that is a different story. If you have a decent command of Spanish and know what the hell you are talking about, then you should not even have a problem if you are messaging from the moon.
True, but I think having a local number helps.
Johnnie, it sounds like you have heard hookers talking long term, but some of the stuff you mention like classes or buying a house, you did not personally see right?.
I wouldn't post hearsay without saying it is such. I do know the classes are real because she's been posting photos on WhatsApp and telling me what's happening there plus I've seen her posting in mom-group chat they have set up for it.
As for the one buying a house, I've been with her to the cambios (BTW I couldn't believe how cheap is to buy a house in Venezuela). She doesn't have the full amount yet and whether she won't blow it on something else or her family will get to it, the time will tell, it's difficult to for any young person to sit on pile of money and not touch it, but it's her way to keep this money mentally 'unspendable' here.
I also know casa girl who decided to quit at 22 and started selling street food and some homemade desserts to panaderia, she's been posting videos of her stand and food, and I've eaten the desserts, but I'm yet to visit her stand. She has still some regulars but only of her choice and seems to prefer company and taking care of animals for long term. Casa girls work can be tough though, they must fuck whether they like it or not, best they could do to try to avoid it is to be cold during presentation. The most damage there is to their own ideas of self-wroth. She couldn't take it any more. She's been in a good situation being able to live with her parents and not having to pay rent so could afford not to work for a while, but then they kicked her out after some time.
Another casa girls posts updates from veterinary school.
Another 19 yo plans to enroll to be a police women, but I doubt that will happen any time soon, since she pulls good money and likes to party, but certainly can't shut up about it.
Or a webcam girl which is paying for evening English classes out of her pocket, even though the money is tight, I don't session with her anymore but sometimes still meet her for language exchange and she's improving (no thanks to me).
Anyway, the point is, yes, they can think long term while being hookers, which doesn't mean they are relationship material or that their long term includes a plan to have an exclusive relationship with one man, they are often happy with just raising a child, especially if it's a boy, have plenty of friends and family for their social needs and just juggle many men supporting them.
Not to mention this is Latin America, exclusive relationships do not seem to be the big thing here and many men just impregnate and move on the basis of 'well, it was her decision to have a child, not my problem now', and even if they don't, there isn't that much money coming in anyway considering local salaries. Just the other day I met a Venezuelan mechanic in his 50's that was looking for chicas. He has 12 children with 3 different women. One of his sons, approaching 30's was sitting next to him, also looking for chicas, he has 4 children with 2 different women already.
True, but I think having a local number helps.
When I'm contacting girls on sites for independents, non agency. ID say at least half are still being answered by their boss at the casa they work at. Prices and extras usually listed in ad. But the true independent hot girls that answer their own publications definitely pay way more attention to the US numbers coming in. They'd rather hook a gringo at their going rate listed and add adicionales and repeat repeat and then convince you to come back and visit. Some girls even advertise they only see foreigners and not locals. So not sure where your logic is coming from. I speak Spanish, I'm from US and I just do my due diligence to know the going rates.
Just keep your profile pic generic, or a cartoon or something. And block them from your stories.
How's Bogota for semi-pros / GFE / Seeking. I've only ever visited Medellin and Cartagena.
I prefer GFE / semi-pros. I had my best experiences using dating apps in those cities around 2017-18. I now no longer use the apps due to scoping risk, and I didn't have much fun in medellin last time, back in 2017 I had hundreds of chicas trying to meet me, now it seems like they're numb to tourists and chicas felt way harder to get, almost like miami where they have so many options (and now medellin is flooded with gringos, they do). And I was on edge because of all the scopings, I could no longer relax.
How is Bogota, both for dating app safety and not being one of a million gringos trying to get attention?
I took a taxi to Rosquillas Bar 64 this afternoon around 1:30 pm And it appeared dead on the street, so I did not even get out of the taxi to go check.
Any casas open for sure on Sunday?
Thanks.

Thanks.
Yes, all three Casas on that stretch of Calle 64 were open on Sunday. I was in the area around that same time. The street was quiet but you should have noticed the 2 guys out front of the other two casas. They will tell you to come inside. All three locations had their doors cracked open. Also you may have noticed there was a guy washing down the side of an office building with a water hose on the same side of the street near the casas if you went by there at the time you stated.
Bogota is a big ass city with a lot of options. Paid, semi-pros, and GFE. But Bogota does come with it own set issues. Traffic, robberies etc. Is it still worth it? Yes!

Been trying to make my way through pages and pages of reports but not finding much.
I prefer to deal with delivery service. Not into the bar scene or street scene. Looking for solid information on reputable agencies or ladies.
Also I see a lot of Colombian ladies on a site LiveJasmin.com Any info on where these young ladies might work for sex service?
Thanks in advance.

Personally I think as long as you're not partying / drinking and taking all the necessary precautions, the risks aren't that much higher than they were before. There's always going to be scams and bad actors, and that applies everywhere. Always move the convo to Whatsapp as fast as possible and get to know them for a day or two at least before meeting up immediately.

And in general around Medellin, say at the malls I felt women used to stare and be interested in gringos, now it's like they've seen many. I suppose that's what happens. I was curious if Bogota is less spoiled. But being a big city probably brings diversity with it anyway.

Normal chicks have jobs and other responsibilities and usually can not meet up immediately like that. You can tell the scammers and hookers right off from the pictures. It is like playing the game one of these kids are doing their own thing. If you know the place, then the pics do not fit.
