Passed though late at night and saw quite a few LBs walking around in the Soi (early in the evening very few), but nothing to easily indicate attached to a bar. The story at Deja Vu has changed. Found a girl who said there are three LBs. Picked one easily from the jaw and asked where the other two were. She replied that the other two were not there. Could have gone with some unsuspecting punter.
It was pointed out that last time I chose the wrong one to look suspicious because stretch marks indicated a baby.So height of 170cm alone was not enough to rate as suspicious. Obviously I was attracted to the least suspicious one.
Why not say LBs are everywhere and to beware. Its unfair to rate Soi Cowboy as worst. But these can only be personal opinions.

1. A woman's arms can not be held straight down the side of the body as a man can (i.e. a man's top half his arm can be held in a straight line, 180 degrees, with the bottom half of the arm).
A woman's arms develop with a slight angluar feature to accomodate the fact that the arms have to swing by her hips whilst she walks. And, if you ask a woman to stand with her arms straight down her side, invariably the arms will not be straight (nor can she hold them straight). When I have checked this out with lady friends of mine, the concept has held true, but my research has not been exhaustive.
2. There is a difference in the length of the index finger and ring finger between men and women. The index finger in men tends to be shorter than the ring finger, whilst in women it is the other way around.
I have researched this over the internet and found quite a number of medical reports discussing the fact. However, when I have done some personal studies of this with ladies friends of mine, the distinction is not always that clear.
3. Another personal observation of mine is that LB's tend to have big feet compared to females. I have not done any research or investigation on this point, apart from observing LBs on the streets in Bangkok from time to time.
4. I do recall someone else in the forum writing about the difference in the way that LBs walk compared to women, due to the difference in the pelvic structure. If I recall correctly the members comments correctly, whilst women can walk in a natural way and cause their hips to sway from side to side. LBs tend to walk in a way that we see fashion models walk down the catwalk and, for want of a better expression, I would call it a foot-cross-over step.
Hope this provides some additional food for thought.

How to tell LB from real girls
I have found that there is one critical key to telling the difference between a LadyBoy (Katoey) and a real girl that has not been discussed. That has to do with the observer's blood alchohol level. I have seen and experienced that the more drunk you are the less likely you will be to "figure it out."
NEP and the Nana parking lot have become "the" hangout. A number of straight girls are very unhappy because they see the guys being scared that they will make a mistake. When I was there 2 weeks ago I found myself hesitant to pick a parking lot girl for fear that I would end up with the wrong plumbing. In defence, the only time I actaully did make a mistake -- I had drunk a number of beers.
If you do go home with a LB and it is not your thing, DO NOT FREAK OUT or get angry. Smile, give her/him some cash and apologize saying you are into girls not LB. He/she is used to it. Thai society is very accepting of LB and while in Thailand we should be too even if it is not our thing.

Easy: a LB snores. But by the time you find out, it is probably too late.
Not LB will tell you the truth
Although its always a good idea to ask the person if not 100% certain of LB status, unfortunately, they do not always tell you the truth--its a small % but do happen from time to time.
So stay focus.
