BESTARD! Don't tell him! I want to see his eyes when he opens the door of his room :):):) !
When you get back to BKK go to Fortune and get me a new keyboard and we'll call it even then ;)
But I guess it would confirm the opinons that you are one hell of a psychotic hotelier slash pimp :) Or maybe it's just that Bavarian sense of humour?
Don't worry as of last night the place is still in one piece.

Missing my stay at the Lodge. And the overly kind, exceptionally beautiful and charming Indian-Thai front desk receptionists.
To everyone there, happy new year! I miss you.
Mick Licker,
That is absolutely correct!
(But now I am in Germany, and this afternoon I have some time ... what shall I do ??? )

PS: Damned cold here! Need somebody who warms me up. Any suggestions?
If you are anywhere near Frankfurt A.M. , head up to FKK World or else Oases. You won't go wrong either place. Knowing you though, I think World might be more your style. A bit more laid back and in a huge mansion complete with indoor pool, saunas, the works. It is actually kind of classy.
Of course, being the cheap bestard you are, read their website and find out which day they offer 3 guys addmission for the price of 2. Just hang around outside the entrance and snag two other guys.

...
Tansak KTV,
OK, I accept the "hell of a psychotic hotelier slash pimp".

LOL, Thanks for the recommendation.
Of course I will contact them first and ask for discounts for established Thai pimps :) ...
Good that I am not in FFM, it is anyway too close to Bavaria!

Being from a dryer climate, what should I expect in BKK during the May-July timeframe? I am thinking hot and humid, but I wanted to make sure.
Giotto, when I do come to town, Livingston's will be the place to stay for me. Sounds like the best place to learn from the best. I will contact you as my plans get finalized.
...
JohnDoe25,
Welcome to the forum, and thank you very much for your first report.
May-July is quite hot, and the raining season starts. You will have some very cloudy days sometimes, with 2 - 3 hours heavy rain. Humidity high.
Please contact me when your plans are ready, and I will give you an overview about the scene when you arrive.
Hope to see you soon at Livingstone's Lodge.

Mick Licker,
Wonderful write-up Mick!
Thank you!

Sports Bar International
While traveling a country that doesn't have a single report, never mind its own thread in the ISG, I came across some interesting wall paintings. They look promising - maybe advertising some kind of Sports Bar? Alas, no such thing: only fertility symbols on some farmhouses with no (public) action ...
Looking forward to being back soon - YY

Thanks
To Mr G. and others who offered me advice. Thanks for the help. I am sure I will have a great time on my arrival in Bangkok. Looking forward to getting there and my stay at the lodge, it has been to long since I have visited. Anyone else going to be around later this week?

Visiting the Lodge
This is a great fourm. After spending a few weeks reading through the post I knew I had to stay at the Lodge. I'm glad the whole pimp thing got worked out. Not sure I could have justified staying at the Livingstone's Brothel. I'll be in BKK in two weeks and can hardly wait. I'm looking forward to meeting Giotto and anyone else who will be staying at the Lodge. Thanks to everyone for all the great information. This should be my best trip to BKK.

Welcome to the forum, and thank you very much for your first report. We are all looking forward to reading more reports about your adventures in Bangkok :) .
Don't worry about Livingstone's being a brothel - of course it is not. It is a hotel for business / leasure traveler, with a special ambience, an oasis in the center of Bangkok. THere is a bar / Sports Lounge here, too, but if you don't like such an environment - nobody will force you to go inside.
Looking forward to meeting you soon.

Herr Doktor G (and the forum) very quiet since getting back from Deutschland. Trouble at mill whilst he was away? Anybody visiting the Lodge just now?
Planning my trip for March and intending to stay at the Lodge again. Hope everything is okay there.

Is that supposed to be good news? Mrs. G pulled in all the farang when you were gone :) When you showed back up everyone ran away again.
Seriously it was a nice meal the other night. Better get the honeymoon suite ready for my return, for some strange reason I think I'm now a marked man at Livingstones.
It's such a shame with the funeral in that it left me with nothing much to do and is forcing me to come back to BKK shortly. ;)
