Question about hotels and registering guests, as I have only been the one time and didn't have an issue last time.

I am going to have a friend (a local, but a civilian) stay with me for a few days on my next trip. I am staying at the Renaissance and have asked them to make it a 2-adult stay (no additional charge with my rate). I'm curious about what signals will go with that. Will a receipt show both names, or even that there were two guests? Will they want to have her officially on the register in some way, or just want to have the reservation setup for two people and no other interest or inquiry?

Her idea was to have a second room reserved for her so it doesn't show up and none of my colleagues see her leave my room, which I think is so unlikely I am not concerned.

You guys are all experienced, what am I not thinking of that could get me in trouble with the SO?

Totally agree with Hobbying. More importantly, high rates do not guarantee a good service. One of the recent reports mentions CBJ, which is outrageous at this price point. No matter how hot she is, $300-$400 is a lot of money for 1 day of work in Brazil and she has to earn it. The issue I see here is that Scandallo girls are working girls, and they see and treat you as clients. Some poster said earlier that many of them are doctors, lawyers, etc. I really doubt it, have you ever seen a smoking hot young doctor or lawyer? I haven't. It takes years of studying, internships, etc to become one, and all the stress gained along the way adds up and affects the looks. It is a good selling strategy to say you are a doctor / lawyer etc. Because that helps to jack up the price. In Bogota and Medellin I can guarantee you can get any smoking hot goddess for less than $200 overnight, anything over $100 would be sufficient. My take is that Scandallo is a good place for folks who are not price sensitive, for all others there are better places out there.

In October I WhatsApped maybe 8 girls asking about their services and pricing and only one quoted more than what was reported on the local forums. Same thing in Casarao and Bomboa. I don't think I have paid significantly more than what the locals pay. I don't know what the locals pay in Scandallo.

But it would be stupid to treat a local client badly, because he could potentially become a regular client who lives in SP 365 days a year vs a gringo coming down for a few days, and also, can spread negative reviews among other locals. If I were a working girl at Scandallo, I would think twice.

It is like renting a car for 1 day. You can get a Honda Civic for under $50/ day or you can get an S class for $200/ day. Both cars will get you from point A to point be. Most likely it will show that there were two guest, if you requested two guest. Most hotels will ask you to register your guest, if she is planning to stay beyond a one-nighter or use the facilities of the hotel on her own. Now, you can skip registering her by requesting a second key and giving it to her separately, if you know her well enough to trust her with your personal belongings and potential room charges (eg room service, etc), as she can come and go out of the room on her own. If you were staying in the Grand Hyatt, they will make you register all guests.

I think the qualification of lawyer or doctor may be easier than US so you can't judge them as the same if that is the case.

Pardon me, but I don't remember reading one of your SP Scandallo reports, so I have to ask if you speaking from 1st hand experience or just blowing smoke?

I have done around 25 Scandallo girls and probably an equal number of Bomboa girls in my two 2021 trips to SP and I never had a bad session.
