East China - Shanghai

My last visit to China was around 14 years back. Visited Tianjin and stayed in one of the globally renowned hotel. I wasa alone for 2 weeks and seriously going crazy as there was none to talk and socialize with so wanted to try foot massage to feel the human touch. Opted for room Service. A middle aged woman as assigned who was very prompt.

During the session she was smart enough to understand my pain and managed to communicate that there were girls who could provide full service.

I paid for her service and made a deal for full service. She left with a smile and new girl knocked the door after in 40 minutes. She was young, pretty and encouraging. Her politeness helped both of us to over come the language barrier. It turned into one of my memorable moments. .

I might visit China next month and wanted to know if I can repeat the cycle. I might stay in any premium hotel, is it worth trying?

Hi all experienced Shanghai fans.

My first trip there (here?) and made some preparation in case I got some free time.

I was surprised about the damage (cost) for having ST and LT.

ST. CNY 1200 - 1500, LT. CNY 4000.

Thats close to western levels.

Has it always ben like this?

For me, who prefers LT, its nearly better to fly to Thailand if I get 3-4 nights free.

Appreciate any comments.

Then starting a few weeks, suddenly many veggie shops started offering extras! They even advertised it on Dianping! Even Yili, a long standing high end veggie MP and tea house is now offering naughty services (to me, this was the real shock). I wonder what caused the change.

I came back to Shanghai after over four years missing. Been to Manh. and have to say did not have a good experience. May be it was the wrong day and wrong time. I want to check in other days/hours to see if it improves. Another day went to Judy's but was too early.
