Her skin was rather light and she had natural everything as far as I could tell (partly why I rated her so highly on looks).

The experience was just not what I expected, and considering it was almost twice the price of the oilies (tried Snow White and Mango so far), I was hoping for something special.

At this point I only try getting back on the horse that threw me the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. time on extremely rare occasion; when a friend with whom I otherwise share very similar tastes and likes strongly recommends another one, for example.

But even under those circumstances I have yet to spend time with a soapy or oily girl in her shop that I would want to spend so much as 100 baht to repeat. Clearly, these places are very popular so there must be something about me that is just not cut out for the system of choosing a girl with a numbered badge behind glass or pointing to a girl in a line up. I never found much fun in Bangkok soapies. An average session is as underwhelming as yours, and even the best sessions were not particularly memorable. There's something stifling about the environment / format, and the value is simply not there.

Not sure why people use those at all, maybe it's the thrill of choosing from the fish tank.

Lately, over the past 4/5 years, they have not been as much fun, and your description above is right on, a stifling environment / format. The girls are not much into their task and it shows.

Why do I use them? Mostly for convenience. When I land in Thailand, I am dead tired from the long trip. It typically takes me a couple of days to feel normal again. The soapies are excellent venues in those first few days. It takes little effort, just point to a girl or a number, and voila you get to shag a chick. When I started going to LOS, back in 2004, they were a lot of fun. Not so much these days. But it certainly beats the hassle of going out for the chase, buying drinks and chatting the girls.

From what I hear, there are some very lonely Korean guys, and Thai girls are way cheaper / less materialistic than local Koreans are. Like, there isn't a good GFE providing P4 P industry in Korea.
