We brought the flyers from 4 x4 and got in for free. The 4x4 owner also has "complimentary entrance for 2" little business cards that he will give to you if you ask him. Here's how the pricing structure works:
[NOPARSE]- R$50 entrance which include food and drink consumption. To give some perspective - a bottled water cost R$9.50 and Vodka/Redbull drink costs R$42[/NOPARSE]

Like Cartman, I really liked Rio Antigo and found a couple of real gems there. I remember the rooms being pretty nice too. I have some good memories (and photos) of the place LOL!

The trouble Rio Antigo had, despite great facilities, was that it was so difficult to get to -- and then, when you did, there was no guarantee the girls were going to be that hot.
I think this is a problem (not that hot girls) that is really hurting 65 right now, last few years, despite it having a *great* location 1 block from 4 x4 in Centro.
The way you describe it, I don't see any reason to go here except curiosity, given the necessity of cabbing it.

The Brazilian currency is weak, so it doesn't take genius for them to work out the price you paid in dollars two or three years ago and convert it to Rs. Add to that that there are many wealthy Brazilians. Add to that, things generally have increased in price in Brazil, not decreased. The big change is the exchange rate and these girls are not planning to go abroad unless someone takes them. Rio is an amazing fun city: just not the cheapo place of South America.

The locals are struggling a little with money, so struggle with them, haggle a little, without disengaging, cancel an overnight, but say, instead of 500 for overnight, we can do overnight 3 times a week for 300 each. Then go with the other girl, and let her come back.
The second (incorrect in my view) approach of the bad wingman is, "cost is no object" (maybe because I have a mongering buddy from a wealthier country in town for 10 days), so we are going to have a festa, and instead of being satisfied with the couple of great girls I have lined up, we are "grumpy" because we only have those two girls; and we can pay any amount, just to get the girls out on our schedule; we will go to Motel VIP (even if it is a rainy day). Taking this approach is the quintessential "gringo" move that takes girls who had been putting out great sex for 150 or 200 for an hour, and often for 3 hours, and instead trains them to expect 300 or 400 for 1 hour (no anal).
