Yesterday evening I went to this Ayurvedic MP in Pagoda road opp Niromi. Paid 1,000- to the doctor for a 1 hour session who asked for my details including ID. Was directed into a room. Had a shower. All the girls were wearing white lab coats so thought it was a professional place. 5 min into the massage this lady stops and says can give a feeling massage and demanded another 1,000- I said I want a regular massage & no shake and can give only 500- for which she ended up lamenting that she does not get paid and survives only on the tip. She then went and complained to the doctor and asked me to leave if I can't give her 1,000- I ended up walking out furious and swear I will never return to that place ever again.

My apologies to the seniors for not being around and for not contributing in a long time. Had some unfortunate incidents in my personal life and returned back to island paradise few days ago. I hope that my buddies Panawala, Rajeev, KT, Acne, Ritigala, Knight and other seniors are doing fine. I see a lot of new handles, some awesome contributors. Thank you.

This post is aimed at the bulk of the new guys who seem to be clueless at obtaining a trusted status in order to receive the good contacts. By no means that I'm an expert at giving advice, this is simply few guidelines (how I did it) so that you guys can get a decent start.

- If you look around in the main forum, you will notice that there are many sub forums where senior members are freely sharing information and pretty much taking the newbies by the hand. There was a time when this forum also used to be like that. But that good old time is long gone. Due to the present and recent crackdown of the hobby, seniors have to protect their valuable contacts. If the assets are free flowing without hindrance, most of the members will share information with you as they are generous people for the most part. Just because you create a nifty user name and post 'thank you' 'great post' etc type of posts, it won't build up your credibility. It will only give you a large post count, which is quite useless unless you have gained trustworthy status.

Start from HitAd. At your leisure, make some calls and begin from there. For the most part, you will be disappointed at what you will get as opposed to your expectations. But do share these reports in the forum. You don't have to write elaborate prose works but one liner reviews will not help either. Newbies, you have to take a risk if you want to walk among the seniors. Also, if you happen to find a gem or a two, write great reports and share the contact with trusted members so that they can vouch for you in the open forum. Before you know it, your inbox will be full of excellent contacts and you will build a close network of friends here (most likely you will never ever meet them in real life but you will feel the trust)

Don't dismiss this simple advice as useless. If you ask most seniors, they will tell you that this is the way they gained their statuses.
