Had 2 crazy days in Dubai last week.

Night 1 I started in Sea View Hotel and within seconds there was this lovely girl from Ghana at my site and she refused to go away even when I told her that I first wanted to look around. Although I have been a monger here in sandy land for some time and occasional reader of this highly useful forum, I have to admit to never joining thus never contributing (not cool but also means I never asked some of those obvious questions you guys have to suffer all the time). However I felt a strong need to register and inform you following a recent unpleasant experience.

After recently picking up a nice fili freelancer from one of the well-known fili mongering bars, headed home to my apt in large development in Biz Bay, got the taxi driver to go into the indoor car park and proceeded tot the door when, from the corner of my eye, saw this local man (local dress) standing by the side of a white car with tinted windows. I hurried to the door but soon heard him calling us. No choice but to face him. He quickly asked who I was, how I know the lady (friend, come from bar for drink home) , what her name is (not impressed that I remembered) , same questions from her then respective IDs. It quickly appeared from the conversation that we were not getting home free and although I tried to defend the girl, it was obvious they were taking her and any further interference would only land both of us in more trouble. End result: I was asked to leave before he changed his mind and the lady was embarked, not to be heard of again. I didn't have her number and haven't yet been back at the bar (she's part-time anyway) but thought you'd want to hear this.

Any similar experiences or heard similar stories? I didn't think LE would scout residential developments. It was not a comfortable experience and I will definitely be more careful in the future.

I will try to be better and report on future experiences.

Great post. If I were you, I would ask the local man "with local dress standing by white tinted windows car" for an ID to make sure he is an LE. I was watching the news today and I saw a show talking about undercover police tracking Biz men who are trading female maid illegally. It was on Dubai one channel. You should play it safe next time. Take seperate taxi and meet the girl at the hotel. Yes it is coastly, but it is trouble free.

LE will not come randomly in Residential area especially in locations like Business Bay. There is a possibility that they have come to your building because they must have some information on WG activity nearby. Or this is a scam by some locals acting as fake LE. When you are with a WG you are afraid to ask their I'd hence the fake LE take advantage and get free sex with the scared WG. Only hope and pray that she did not get brutal treatment. You must go to Ratsky and check with her friends if she is alright.

If LE started hanging around Residential areas then no WG is safe.

Fact of life in Dxb, authorities attitude towards you dependent on your skin color. Politely and respectfully explaining your concerns does help.

thanks for the reactions and the advice. with hindsight it was immediately clear that i should have asked for his id but (i) something in his behavior told me he was "official" and (ii) i had had a few drinks which did not help with my cause nor with my speed of reaction. for the record, i am white caucasian but the "large development" where i live has a mix of nationalities and, i think, some potential for illegal activities such as illegal immigrants working. after reflection, i put it down as bad luck and think they were legit cid (heard something like police radio noise coming from the car) but probably there on other business. the wg i was with was a little wild and not discrete which may have prompted their intervention as too obvious (anyway white guy with fili girl past midnight.)

i will go back to ratsky and see if i can find her or her friend asap (like many others and as per my name, i am only occasional monger with other "obligations").

in any case this will hopefully help others be prepared (as i will be if there is a next time).

in the meantime i'm working on some regular filis (love their attitude in and out of bed) from tagged and hope to be posting about this or wg soon.

keep up the great work, i'll try to do my part too. btw, if anybody knows any cute friendly wg who will accomodate couples, it would be great to hear from you (pm should be activated today) although i understand i'll need to pay my dues and report few experiences before.

Keeping a respectful demeanor will help in these situations, as well as acting the "I've done nothing wrong" part. I'd also try to have an independent witness around. Hence I don't mind walking my lady guests through the front entrance of my apartment lobby whenever returning from a productive night out. Maintaining good relations with the building security helps. Unfortunately none of this is going to help the girl.

Being polite, respectful, I've literally said,"Yes, sir, but could I please see your ID?" When shown, it's "Thank you; here's mine." I just want to make sure I'm being questioned by [u]legit[/u] LE.

I've actually called 999 and found them to be very nice, and after a couple of transfers, with sufficient English to explain. And, if you call, then hang up before they answer, at least for me, they actually called back and asked if I needed help.

I certainly agree it helps to be on good terms with your building's staff. My solution, as I've posted before, was an Eid envelope with a couple of hundred dirhams inside. Lets you be a resident they want to keep around.

Random checks in western expat areas not the norm. A "mixed" Caucasian / Asian couple will draw fewer glances from "authority" than say, an Indian / Asian couple. After all, she could very well be your wife. :) Or daughter. ;)

He was drunk and "Amurican" and somehow did nto manage the CID well, the girl (Russian) simply sneaked. The CID actually told her "better go now"

That had the potential to be a career ending situation.

The problem is that the OP had some drinks, even after one beer you are in a losing position.

Last week, arrived in DXB for a short trip. Since I was a bit tired after checking into my hotel at around 11, was not In a mood to check out various clubs around the golden triangle and thought Regal would be my one stop solution. My experience in Regal has been better than the other clubs so off to Regal at around 12. Entry fee of AED 150 paid, I entered expecting to find a crowded place. But to my surprise, it was less crowded for a Thursday night and felt that it had more females than punters. At least to the left of the entrance where I checked, I found quite easy to walk around. Wanted to check the place first and found that there were more MILFs around. Walked up to the end on the opposite side of the bar and a full figured girl caught my attention. Regards[/QUOTE]Jockeys in Panorama Hotel in Bur Dubai. Cheap beer, CIS, PRCs and may be a few Indians and Africans. Nice atmosphere and relatively cheap. CIS are primarily Central Asians and Gerogians.

TGT Astoria, Mix of PRC and a few CIS. Usually quality not that good.

Broadway Coffee shop in Diera, Good quality but expensive CIS
