The correct way is to write a PM introducing yourself with your mongering experience so far, request nicely for a contact stating your preferences and budget, promise to share your experience. Don't be shy and/or stingy. Be generous and have a fun spirit.
Seniors like to help the like minded folks, not the one line contact beggers.
Kriss
Hey Guys,
I completely agree with Kriss. everyone here would have started as newbie and had their share of ups and downs. Its not easy to build reliable contacts it takes a lot if time, many failaiurs and a lot of money too, it dosent happen over night and it dosent happen with out any efforts.
In short don't expect to be spoon feed, there is no free lunch.
1. Try and explore all possible options, forums, sites, paper ads, MPs etc
2. Share your experiences your failures, you trials, your success
3. Be polite, no one here owes anyone. It's community built on trust so build your trust.
4. Try exploring other cities too, mumbai is my fav
Kriss has been one guy who has always kept the hope alive for Bangalore, when I was a newbie myself, I had the same feelings about Bangalore myself, I did have success and also faced huge failures, but I did share my stories.
Kriss and a couple of other seniors were kind enough to connect share contacts after I posted my experiences, I met some of them personally and I can tell you this by experience the city has a lot more to offer than what it looks like on surface.
There is action, you need to spend time and explore, It was disappointing to see some posts that bad mouthed members who contribute, I dont think that does any good to anyone. Anyone who had met Kriss or connected with him knows what a great guy he is. There are some really good guys on board and I encourage everyone to share your experiences and connect.
The year is coming close to an end, wish you all a very happy new year and wish you guys a lot of success in the coming year. Happy mongering.
