I wanted to paint a detailed picture for the ones that had never considered or on the fence about a trip to Cartagena.
Spent just 1 day in Cartagena, and it was a huge disappointment. The freelance scene is mostly low-end Venezuelan girls asking for 400 k pesos—insane prices for the quality. You can spot them along Carrera 7 at night, and during the day around Hollywood Beach (Playa Hollywood).
Also, don't trust random local taxi drivers—they're full of scams. I almost got ripped off badly. One driver tried to take me to some overpriced spot and quoted 150 k for the ride. Midway through, I checked reviews and saw stories of people getting hit for $1,000 USD at those places, so I told him to stop and let me out. He flipped out, turned aggressive, and demanded 250 k instead. Total scam attempt—be careful and negotiate hard upfront or use apps if possible.
Overall, Cartagena's sex tourism feels way overpriced and sketchy compared to other spots in Colombia right now. Not worth it unless you're already there for other reasons. It's a small and an afternoon is way more than enough.

I still laugh about that to this day. Remember folks, when you are in a Spanish speaking country 'see' is for Caliente (Hot) and 'F' is for Frio (Cold).

What spot were they trying to take you to, and what was the origin of pickup?
As for Carrera 7, you were probably around outside the old Delirium but you also have to go over. To where KFC is and San Valintine and the ClockTower.
Most girls are starting to go back inside like Pretexto which is also owned by the Delirium owner.

Thanks to everyone who posts information and reviews, thought I should contribute. My last trip to Cartagena sadly was just as the storm hit recently. The good part was it only took me 45 minutes to get through customs this time, with absolutely no hassles. The lines returning to the US are just as bad. The bad part of the trip was seeing the beaches under water and a bit of flooding. Guess I wasn't there long enough to experience the sewer smell.
I completely agree with Nypher that CTG late at night is a different world. Changes from families to the nightlife. During the day I spend time with some local friends. But at night I had no trouble finding some girls around the KFC / clocktower area. My hotel charged 140 each time I brought a different girl back. If I only brought the same one back every night there would have been no charge.
First night was with a regular who spends the night, and I usually take her to dinner plus another 500 TLN. We've known each other for years. Then snagged a 23 yo Colombian for 400 the next night for an hour (asked 500), 8 looks & 8 performance GFE / DATY / CBJ. The next night found a vennie spinner that looked intriguing 7 looks & 9 performance. Asked for 500, settled on 300, and enjoyed enough to repeat a few times, very GFE / BBJ and loved DATY. Worth the trip for that one. Ended the trip with another vennie that was a 9 looks, but sadly a 7 performance. Also asked for 500, settled on 300. Personally, as good as the nighttime pleasures, I really enjoy the people and food. It's a great break from the crappy weather in the states.

Mine were all 22-23 and took a lot of walking around to find. I've used agencies before, but that was hit or miss most of the time. Along the way it was a bit of a freak show. I've never seen bigger butts in my life walking around in high heels. I like CTG for the weather, but sounds like I need to go to MDE like the rest of you. Since I'm on the road a lot, I really appreciate the knowledge everyone contributes here.

Planning a trip to Cartagena in mid Apr. I have been here once a long while back, and Stayed at Bocagrande for the ocean. I plan to stay in the Center, the Old Town this time. I understand that Cartagena is not the best destination in Colombia for our hobby. Bogota, Medellin, even Cali all have better venues for this purpose. Are there any "Casa" or massage parlors in the City Center or surrounding neighborhoods that provide full services? This is not a mongering trip, just want to have some fun when opportunity knocks.
Or, I will be better off going to Barranquilla to look for some action?
