I made it to the Pump just before I went to Iloilo. It's true that the Grand Majestic is easy to find. But the Pump itself doesn't stand out. I didn't see any signs for it. It's on the right side of the building with a few chairs and tables set up outside. Again I didn't see any sign with the name of the place. Inside, on a Thursday night I think it was, the ratio was roughly even, maybe even a few too many guys. There were a number of female-only groups though. To make contact it definitely helps to get out on the dance floor. I moved in on one group and they were very friendly and let me join them at their table later. They were a group of 3 but I wasn't able to get anyone to jump at my hints to join me in the Waterfront later. So no happy ending this time but I think there are possibilities here for the assertive and persistent. Another place in this class is Vudu in the Crossroads Shopping Center, which also tends to favor Hip Hop.

After I got back from Iloilo I checked into the Club Ultima, a new place just down Jones Avenue from Fuente Osmena. It's in a good location next to the Silver Dollar bar and and short ride to other places nearby. This is another Crown Regency franchise, making about 4 of them now in the Cebu area. I paid 4000 for the night I was there. It's still in the soft open phase, so the room rates figure to go up in the future. The place is just ok and adequate for now, not a rave review sort of situation. The room is nice enough and had acres of bed space. It was missing an in room safe and could do with a few more electrical outlets (not even one to plug in a lousy cell phone charger without undoing one of the lamps). The gym is nice enough and there are several pools and jacuzzis, though they all seem to be indoors. The main irritation here is a 100 peso charge to get a towel even if you're a guest. There will be several restaurants and a rooftop bar here, but for now only one place is open. Most importantly, the place is guest friendly. I gave it a good test with one fairly obvious bargirl and then later a respectable-looking innocent (until she gets me alone in the room and attacks me).

The bargirl I called in is Dafnie. I described her in a late July report when I barfined her from Sisters Bar. She's not working there anymore (part of that place's decline). Now she's just at home waiting for whatever. Whatever turned up one night last week in the form of Horny Mahku wanting an encore. She came over to Club Ultima. I met her outside and escorted her past approving security guards. She's got a small, tight, hot body and she loves to perform. I asked her if she wanted me to make her contact info available and she said ok. So members can PM me if they want to meet her.

I want to get around to posting pics of Dafnie and also Bianca. But doing so from my camera through internet cafe computers is proving a hassle. So please bear with me. A warning about Bianca: NEVER let her into the casino, especially if you're at Waterfront like I was. Getting her out again will be like pulling an elephant from the last watering hole in the Serengheti. DO take her to Sunflower or some other place fun. It pays off big time in GFE dividends.

I made it to Sunflower a couple of times. I found the crowds a bit diminished from before, sort of like what's happened to the Venue in Davao. Like Spam Hog said, the Korean owners have jacked up the prices so that it mainly appeals to Asian tourists. I saw NO freelancers hanging out near the bar like I always did before. This place may now only be good to bring a girl for a date rather than coming here alone for hunting.

Girly bar tidbits: Club Stars (formerly Exotica), like someone else noted, is a real snooze now. Few girls worth looking at. Sisters Bar, like I said, has already gone downhill. The stunners that were there before seem to have moved on. The best selection girlwise of the bars in this cluster was at Dimples. I didn't have a chance to check into barfine prices, etc. The barfine in this place used to include the girl's portion.

Can you provide more information on "The Pump." Type of place (disco, bar, etc), m/f ratio, good nights to visit, your impression of action, etc.

There was a girl in there that was 1/2 Japanese. I had an amazing time with her but was never working or was already bar fined when I went back a couple times. Anyone know if she's still there. Can't miss her.

The Spamhog put on a clean shirt, actually took a bath and a shave dragging Mrs along for protection and entered The Pump on Friday night at 2200 Hrs
(thats 10 PM). Waded through the collection of solidly Filipino couples and bribed the water with a P20 note for a "booth" type table as the seats in this place are too damn hard for my ample ass to rest comnfortably. Began my recon of the place.

Counted sixteen females out on the crowded dance floor,dancing in small two's & three's.
Seven Korean girls, sitting with two Korean males, one of these babes made a small spectacle of herself later on when obviously drunk she began an attempt at a "sexy" dance and almost ended up crashing on her skinny ass, caught by a Filipino gallant and felt up royally before released to stagger some more, paused and sipped her beer and dangled a cigarette twixt her fingers.

ITEM: one lone foreigner sitting at the bar drew a lot of attention from passing ladies, guy was drunk or in a trance, never semed to notice. Other than my ugly Irish mug the only other white guy I saw.

Music really sucked, some DJ who thought he was an LA "Gangsta" playing hip hop songs difficult to dance to dampened the spirits a bit. I noticed most of the ladies were unaccompanied, got lots of looks from the women and a few smiles, would have made out like a bandit but my ever lovin growled down any competitors.

Mrs Spamhog, ansty after nursing one san Mig lite convinced bored husband to take her to sunflower to dance. Best move of the night, better music and more varied entertainment including entourage of two foreigners, one dressed in a lion costume, both accompanied by six females, ugliest skanks they could find. everyone drunk especially the goof who started dancing on the table while sucking down champagne. Later they got ejected after lion costume mounted the stage and took over the mike. sounded Aussie or british.

Been awhile since I visited the SF but I see not much has changed, still a lot of horny guys oogling the girls, the boldest dancing closest to the bars flaunting their wares for any interested, you guys need to work on your approach so says Mrs Spamhog after watching a few guys strike out.

Never tried it before (in the phils), but I think it's really not easy to approach a pretty girl inside a discothek with the music hurting your eardrums all the time making even a simple conversation very difficult. If the approach is too simple ('let's have a drink') the girl might say 'what a dumb, simple approach. If the approach is like you described and noticed at SF, it's also not good... Always keep in mind that the average westerner doesn't approach a girl just to talk to her. The goal is to get her laid witin the next 2-3 hours, and THAT makes things very difficult.

Coming to Cebu in December. Hoping to get some help in finding a clean, inexpensive hotel.

On my previous trips, I have stayed at the old Metrpolis Court (now renamed something else - name escapes me at the moment) in Guadaloupe. Nice clean hotel, kind of out of the way and quiet.

But since they changed the name, they have also raised the price. So, I am in search of a new place to call home when I am in town.

I am looking for something similar to the old Metropolis Court, and not too expensive. So far, I have found Golden Peak Hotel at 1800 php for Standard Room, and 2200 php for Deluxe room. Any other suggestion?

I don't need anything near the action as I have about 6 girls lined up from chatting online. I just need a clean hotel room, preferrably with bath tub and pool (but not an absolute requirement) and an inexpensive rate (preferrably under 1500 php.

Would appreciate any help out there.

I just booked a one way ticket to Angeles for less than $2 USD (99 Pesos) on Cebu Pacific. Of course, the add-on charges came to another 1000 Pesos

I don't know how long this promotion will last. Even if they go to regular pricing though, it is only up to 568 Pesos (lowest rate)

The following is a list of my favorites, most of these places are VERY cheap and cater to foreigners. If you have and "overnight guest" or two they are VERy accomidating: In no special order are:

The Richmond, a hi rise multi story, not much on amenities but a delux room goes for P1200 to P1400 range. I once rented a room for a month at P20,000 a suite room a top the building, used to barbecue on the roof. You can walk to Ayala Mall and the lone star bar even the Black hole etc.

Eddies, rooms go for P1400 plus, close to all the "attrachtions" Viking bar, black hole etc. Once again lite on amenities, decent resturaunt/western food and homey little bar.

Castle peak, P1200 a night or cheaper

Rock bottom cheap is northwinds hotel rooms for P1000(?) drawback is this place is usually loaded with filipinos on weekends and many wedding parties with noisy kids running the halls. Zero amenities but a short walk to JY square and the sunflower disco.

If you want something a little more upscale with a nice pool then check out
Montebello, near country mall (you can walk to it). This place has a great pool and garden area that is a romantic setting to take a Filipina. Probably get a room in the P2000 range.

You will see LOTs of foreigners in these places with their GF's, wives and bar finds, tip the guard & door man once in awhile if your going to have a lot of different girls visiting, they'll look out for you in case one or two show up asking questions while you are engaged within.

Taxi drivers know these places well and all are well within a five mile radius (appromately) of Ayala mall for your reference point.

PS I take it you are a diver??? Well you might want to check out Malapasqua which is a three hour bus ride away. Great (cheap) diving and Hotels.

i would advise if travelling to cebu early december (u didnt say when) to have a solid booking as the APEC circus will be in town and foreign ministers incl pm's and dignitries will be there and have booked all decent hotels.

personally i always stay at Kiwi lodge in tudtud st,molbolo for around 1100p per nite.

Unfortunately in the phils I have the problem that I get tired very, very early (9-10 pm!!) since it's so hot & humid. I walk around a lot and see many different or new things. Plus a lot of pretty girls ;-) All the impressions are tiring I guess. It's really annoying. Seems that it's impossible to combine full-time-vacationing and mongering in one single holiday.
