Poseidon, Tarawadee & Pegasus
i will be providing a short write-up on poseidon, tarawadee & pegasus as well as information about my regular contact, i.e. mamasan/papasan there. for infrequent patrons who don’t speak thai, a good mamasan/papasan is a valuable resource. an inability to speak the local language means you can’t really negotiate with, let alone charm the ladies. furthermore, some of the ladies might be tempted to give the clueless monger crappy service, having a good mamasan/papasan on your side sometimes serves as a deterrent.
for me, a good mamasan/papasan must be:
a) able to speak english (thai is a really tough language to learn, lol)
b) hardworking (some of them seem more interested in watching tv)
c) consistently present (do they hire part-timers?)
d) able to point out the performers
e) respected by the ladies
disclaimer: as with the ladies, your experience with the mamasan/papasan is ymmv. but they’re all there to provide a service for money, so long as you reward them accordingly and show them due respect, all should be fine.
poseidon 2nd floor
the standard of the fish tank ladies has fallen somewhat. these days, i usually head for the model lounge except when i feel a need for more liberal services such as dfk, bbbj, > 2 fs. most of the ladies here will provide such services so long as you have negotiated for it beforehand. but be a nice monger and don’t shortchange the lady if she delivers. for those into even more liberal services like cim, anal, [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord118][CodeWord118][/url], it might be best to broach the subject once the ladies have gotten to know you better.
regular contact: a plump, middle-aged chap, papasan anu-cha has absolutely no qualms about negotiating with the ladies for extras. so long as you treat anu-cha right (2-300 baht tip), he’s quite good at negotiating and steering you towards the better ones. only problem is that he can be overly persistent in pushing you to go for a girl but so long as you’re firm about what you want, there shouldn’t be any problems.
poseidon 3rd floor
liberal services are not common among the models but there’s more to good service than a bbbj, right? several notable models include pie (speaks english), c, ta (retired?), cherry (retired?). think pie’s good friend, the model with the longish face is quite a performer too. apparently she’s popular with the locals but never tried her since she’s not my type. in demand are the ‘fresh’ girls who have never worked in any mp before. do book early if that’s your cup of tea.
sometimes, i like to book a double session and have my dinner in the room. the food here is quite good. a single vip room cost an extra 500 baht per session and comes with ktv set and a sauna. you can also request for the renovated rooms at no extra cost, much nicer.
regular contact: mamasan ja-ai’s quite a cutie. i’ve never asked her out but i’m sure many mongers have tried and failed. i once asked her to negotiate for more liberal services with the models but she simply gave me a blank look so i’ve never really pushed for it. but she’s quite good about pointing out those with good attitudes. be nice to her because the other mamasans here aren’t all that great to work with and definitely not as charming.

tarawadee’s located in a more remote location not serviced by the skytrain or mrta. unlike the ratchada area, one can’t do mp hopping here; if the selection at tarawadee isn’t what you expected, it’s a long cab ride to another mp. however, during my last visit three months back, i found the ladies here esp. the models more attractive than poseidon’s. btw, i’m not a fan of the other high-priced mps like utopia, emmanuelle, caesar (as usual, one man’s meat is another’s…….)
as mentioned in earlier posts, tarawadee is frequented mainly by thais. imho, the resultant effect is consistently better service and being able to get away with smaller tips. unfortunately, one also has to move faster here than in other mps; the locals often arrive in groups for dinner & drinks and have the ladies accompany them during then before heading up to the rooms (seems time can be extended in 30 mins increments). so if you miss out on a lady, it’s often more than just a 1.5 hr wait. the locals, being more familiar with the scene also move faster in their selections unlike us foreign mongers.
regular contact: papasan jacky speaks passable english but i usually converse with him in mandarin. do note that my patronage of tarawadee is quite recent so i can’t fully vouch for jacky. i have long heard of tarawadee but the remote location was a major turn off, now i wish i had made the trek earlier. still, most of the mamasans & papasans here appear to have a positive service attitude.
pegasus
if your taxi driver doesn’t know how to get here, tell him soi cowboy and once you’re in the soi, do a right turn before taipan hotel.
pegasus or pi-kar-sart as the locals call it is kind of like a high class mp except it’s designed for take-out. i usually sit outside and watch the show but there are private karaoke rooms if that’s your thing. décor is opulent and there’s a daily live band with fashion shows on thursdays.
i’ve seen some sloppily dressed guys here so don’t think they have a strict dress code but pegasus is an upmarket place so it’s only polite not to ruin the ambience and to at least wear a polo-t and leave the t-shirts and bermudas at home.
the ladies are attractive but not quite at the level of the models at poseidon or tarawadee. most of the ladies at pegasus are available for take-out with the rest just for interaction within the club although for the right price, i’m sure they can be persuaded otherwise. while take-out can be either short or long time, i have always opted for long time. long time includes two fs and technically ends at 6-7am the next morning but you can speak to the mamasan/ papasan about having the lady leave later, no guarantees though.
needless to say, the probability of liberal services increases with the newer ladies. most seem to be comfortable with dfk, bbbj is really ymmv; i’m a firm believer that ladies generally perform better in bed for guys who show some class. don’t let the ladies push you around but do try to be nice to them.
memberships can be purchased for 30,000 baht/yr and comes with a certain number of bottles and barfine credits (u can choose your combo of bottles vs. credits) in addition to discounts on private rooms, ladies drinks. the memberships can be cost-effective if you buy it together with a group of friends or like hanging out at pegasus for drinks since the ambience is excellent. for example, many of the hong kongers, japanese and taiwanese come in groups and patronize pegasus just like they would a ktv, spending hours in their private rooms and drinking like fishes.
i used to be a member but find it more cost-effective now to just pay the regular rates since i don’t really drink or use the private rooms. this is not the place to start ordering loads of drinks without a membership.
regular contact: papasan jorge (pronounced as georgie) is one of the senior papasans at pegasus. he’s sort of effeminate; so long as that doesn’t bother you, he’s a great guy to have on your side. don’t think jorge is comfortable negotiating for more liberal services with the ladies; he’s more into hinting which ladies are the better ones these days.
