Picking off the website tends to be a bit of an art. I can not say I know exactly how to do it except that I have relied heavily upon intuition to guide me. I think it is not quite so "either / or", to paraphrase a Danish monger. You can (indeed should) look on the website, make some prelim choices, and call to make sure the intendeds are there and vaguely free at the time good for you. But you don't book it-you then just turn up and let the chemistry decide. All this does is reduce, but not eliminate, the chances for wasted time and disappointment. Of course in the interim, things could happen; some hornier bastard could turn up and abscond with the goods. But at least this way, you have a fair chance without committing to some potentially Photoshopped Princess poon. In most private flats, you might be able to wait 15-30 min in some waiting room, and at least you reduce the odds of these taxi safaris not yielding one of the Big Five (or whatever the female equivalent is). At least you can time the taxi, or for us greenies, S / U Bahn & Bus runs a bit, while still keeping it fairly spontaneous. Sort of planned spontaneity.
