No thank you. I experienced the Thai water torture Pattayan style last year and once is enough. At least in Bangkok, if you are reasonably dressed, most will demur from soaking you and all you tend to get are a few restrained squirts. In Pattaya you know that no matter if you were dressed as the pope, you would be a soaking wet pope within yards of leaving the hotel.

I went to Panthip Plaza yesterday and did a lot of walking, past many groups throwing water about. I was within yards of my hotel and congratulating myself for escaping relatively unhosed. But I failed to spot the 4 year old boy with the bucket of water. Aaaaarrrggghhh.

Yessss you are correct! This used to be WILD COUNTRY in Washington Square. I have fond memories of Wild country, Used to be (for me) one of the Sleaziest place in BKK.

You walk-in, Pay 60THB / Glass Cheap Whisky to the Girls and they would do anything you want. Usually you buy a few rounds (500thb) and tip 200 300 thb the lady that has Sucked you.

Thank fuck that Songkran is over now (at least in Bangkok) for another year. The novelty of been water cooled by some idiot who thinks that they are some kind of aqua Rambo rapidly wears thin. And am I the only one who find the sight of grown adults running around with water pistols quite disturbing!

The pack was silver and green in color and was a bit wrinkled and compressed. It had Thai script written across the front and down the sides. The pink lighter was. Well. It was pink. I pull out one of the cigarettes and smell it. More so as a memory jogger than for any other reason. Muted tones of menthol. It had the intended effect. It was mental chloroform as my memory laid down a path to the only possible explanation. It was about 7 months ago.

Agreed! Just don't like it. Sorry when someone is in business clothes and does not want to get doused with water and you douse them, it is inconsiderate, in every culture. I have tried to like this holiday but just can't. I at least get out once during the three days and amble to Cowboy for a bit, but whenever I pass someone that obviously does not want to get wet, I would not even think about dousing them. Passive aggressive this holiday is. Now if they would turn this into a three day feast and orgy, I would be game.
