I think there was a name change a while back so you better research the subject on your own and find out the nights when the club is open. I think one factor not discussed often enough is age, likely because most posters on here are of the older variety. The Lebua Hotel is not in a red light neighborhood. That's the facts, Jack, but there are still plenty of bars around on lower Silom near the hotel and you can always try your luck while quenching your thirst. You might run into a rare FL or some Farang tourista girls looking for a good time. You never know.

But do not fret. This is BKK, so the good times are not that far away. As BKKdog suggests, your surest bet is to take a taxi to Patpong 2. You will find 3 or 4 decent Go Go's there. I and other board members have written a few reports. RTFF. Tip: Bada Bing.

Got it now I know the lay of the land better, will do some more research now that I have a better feel for the hotel location a little better, not really my first choice to stay but thinking this hotel would be awesome (if not the best place) to bring in New Years 62 story's up over looking the river and city, thanks so much for your input! Try posting it in the Bangkok hotels thread. Better yet, how about reading the thread. As for the area, it's in the Silom area. Plenty of restaurants and some low key massage shops and near Patpong. However, we have these great things called taxis here. I would encourage you to read the forum by searching for Patpong.

Youth is wasted on the young Uncle V. I don't regret my age. Sure, when I was in my 20's girls gave themselves to me for free. That was nice cause my funds back then were rather limited. Its very tough to say because there are so few younger falang guys in Thermae. I don't remember ever seeing a falang there younger than me, and I am on the wrong side of 40 myself (though I pass for mod to late 30's).

But I am sure age is a factor with some girls there. We just don't have enough data to establish the relative weight of age vs ethnicity in girls preferences. We need some younger white guys from the board go there and post their experiences.

I was wondering if staying at hotel Lebua is a total bust for mongering in that area? Is their enough to keep me busy around their until I move to the landmark? Want to try to stay at Lebua for New Years for a few days, and then move on! Any and all info on what to do in that area for 4 days or so would be great and appreciated!

Hi all,

Myself and few friends are heading over to Bangkok and then Phucket end of October and staying 5 days in each. We are flying in to Suvarnabhumi Airport. We wanted to stay near the decent parts where its relatively walk able. We saw a few hotels such as Rembrandt and Boss Suite? Are these any good? Any recommendations would be excellent for Bangkok.

For Phuket we want to stay near Pattong Beach. So any recommendations as well would be fab.

In terms of the clubs. What do people recommend and where? For both Bangkok and Phucket?

Really looking forward to the trip but want to avoid the pitfalls.
