Granted we all have different tastes, but I'm going to do everyone on here a solid because this forum has been really good to me. The Sexwork website, mentioned a few times in this thread, has been down for a few days and the local papers have reported on it. Sexwork and Sihteeriopisto are the same site, but the latter is the Finnish language original version. If you go to that website now, you see only a Spanish police logo and it says the site has been taken down by Spanish police. According to Finnish papers, the website has been operating since 2001 and has been by far the most popular way for prostitutes to market themselves online, but the ownership has been changing hands many times over the years. It started out owned by a Finn but the latest owner seems to be Spanish and that is how the Spanish police got involved. I noticed a few of the ads were showing girls who claimed to be 18 or 19 or 20 but looked younger and that led to some angry posts in the forum recently. That might be what led to this, although it has only happened a few times in the past 18 years or so, by my estimates.

Until a new version of the site pops up, the next best option is the "seksitreffit" website but that is not nearly as good (no prices mentioned) and not as easy to use for non-Finnish language speakers.

I've read several years worth of posts and feel I understand most of what's been shared. However, I do have some questions:

Is the real escorts the website to use now?

Is Soho the best bet for in-person shopping?

Are there good bets for non-hobby attempts? Older women in particular?

Yes, realsescorts is the site to use now. The other one I sometimes use is seksitreffit. Fi which has a lot of local talent and also older women if you like that. For Helsinki, select Uusima. Helsinki as the region. A lot of the ads are in Finnish, but Google translate works well. I usually go for the ones who has an e-mail to ensure English language skills without calling around.

Soho is the place for in-person pickups, which I prefer a lot. There are other strip clubs but mainly focused on strip tease and in some cases "girl drinks". Would not recommend them.

There is a seedier red light district just outside of downtown in Kallio with massage places, small strip joints where you can get service in the private booths and streetwalkers, but it is quite seedy. There are also streetwalkers around the Sokos Torni hotel and the Alcatraz strip bar, which is the best one of those by the way.

For living, best places are Sokos Torni Hotel (where you can enter via the American Bar in the basement) and the fancier Klaus K Hotel (if you get the Sky rooms which have a separate entrance from the street). Or Helsinki Homes Apartments which are bookable via booking. Com. All of these are easier to bring girls to without walk of shame.

Seemed fun. If I wasn't there for work I'd have gone back to find a girl. I had to wake up early so couldn't stay and I was in a hotel with co workers so couldn't really bring a girl back without risking being seen.

Didn't end up finding or trying any massage places near me. I was within walking distance of Soho so I visited there.

Ton of girls working with just a few guys. I went early so it might have picked up later. Mixed variety of girls. Most seemed from Russia or Estonia. A guy I was talking to said many from Poland as well. Many of them probably in the 30's age range but still decent looking. A few younger looking ones. English not that great for all of them and I was having a hard time understanding a few with their accent. Still they were nice enough to leave if I told them maybe later. Had a couple of beers and hung around till 12 then left. I wish they opened earlier than 1000 as I had work the next day.
