It may sound closer to the real term saying what dee cup, but that's not something someone easily identifies with. It's also not as funny to say and get away with. I often get a good laugh when I say what the crap and they think I am saying hello. Cheap humor.

I notice that when Thais who can speak English write the phrase, they put Sawat (or Sawas sometimes) dee krub. Krub? Doesn't sound that way to me though when they say it. Sometimes they put krap.

Also, to say "thank you" in Chinese, you can say "shit shit" quickly without annunciating.

I can't say that has been my experience. I can probably count on the fingers of one hand the number of times in my life, in Thailand and elsewhere, a girl who agreed to bareback with me said before the deed that I must pull out and not cum inside her.
