Headed out to Saphan Kwai for something different. First time there. Went in T-Ded 99 first. Got there about 8:15 pm. I was the only customer. Only 2 girls that I could see. They were putting on make up. No girls dancing guess it was too early. I got set up with a white skin girl from Chiang Mai, 27 years old. 210 Baht for a LEO for the girl and Soda Water for me. 2500 Baht for short time includes cost of hotel which girl paid for. Lots of tip pressure from server and papasan guy. Girl was nice enough and had a good set on her but started complaining about pain, switch positions same thing, she started with BBBJ but she wanted to finish me with a handjob. Before hand she was talkative (in Thai) and let me get a couple pictures. I wasn't that into her and not interested in a hand job so just cut things short. Not a great experience there.

I concur with Catire's statement on the cost. And I would add that 8:15 PM is very early to be there. Last time I was there late last year I left the bar you mentioned about 11 PM because I had a date with a girl coming to my apartment. There were a couple of dozen girls in there at that time. I hear even more show up closer to Midnight, but I can't say that from first hand experience. I found the girls' behavior there to be about as impersonal and distracted by whatever is on their phone, chit chat with servers, waving at new incoming customers and so on as I have ever felt in the worst Nana or Soi Cowboy bars. And I'm talking about when they were giving me a lapdance! LOL.

One ok looking girl who plopped herself down next to me uninvited actually got offended, confrontational and threw cold water on her chances of ever being barfined by me when I dared to speak briefly to her in Thai because, she said, she wanted to practice her English with me. The one girl I spent the longest time with could not speak a word of English, had no interest in me teaching her English and exhibited just about every warning sign not to barfine her unless I was going to be delighted with the most basic, standard fare or worse for 2,500 baht. Combined with the fact that we were expected to Pay Upfront for the whole thing, I suppose I could not get out of there and back to my room for a great first time meeting and LT with an even lovelier young lady for less than 2,500 baht fast enough.

However, I assume there is a way to get around that Pay Upfront system if the girl really wants to be seen walking out of her bar with a farang and do her job in the room well enough to warrant a tip above that and, wonder of wonders, earn a repeat invitation for even more money down the line. So I might drop in there again someday to see if that is possible. If it isn't, then I would probably carry on just fine without another Saphan Kwai visit for the next few years.

Been to T-Det, and can confirm that 2500 paid beforehand is standard operating procedure.

IMO you need to speak reasonable Thai to have a good time there and with the girls. (and even then YMMV).

I have little or no doubt that most girls or lads anywhere in the world would not join the P4P biz if there were real options and alternatives to earning a reasonable living wage to meet their needs. As to how cushy a lifestyle it is, here we might have to disagree.

No doubt some of the smarter experienced in demand ladies make a very good living, over 200 k a month here in Thailand and twice and triple that if they go overseas but they need to put in the hours and work their ass's off.

More to the point that is not the majority who while making more than they would in other jobs available to them are nowhere near living the good life.

One also needs to remember that they probably have no more than a 10 year span when they can rake in the big bucks. After that if they haven't squirreled away enough to start a business or found a well heeled sponsor that latest I Phone soon becomes an old Huawei.

I agree we can have difference opinions because we have different experiences. If you try to read my post in the context it is written, the meaning maybe different, and I do not mean to be harsh. There is nothing wrong to enjoy life regardless circumstances.

I left ST Hotel and walked by RCA and saw a cute girl sitting outside. Asked her name and the tout outside invited me in. Well it turns out that either that girl doesn't go with falang or doesn't go at all with customers. I was at RCA at about 9:30 pm. The girls rotate one at a time on the stage. I was the only customer. When I went inside the one girl on stage was dancing for no one which seems kinda weird. Hard to know how many girls they have because they came from the back and there were never more than a couple inside the lounge area at a time. Lighting is terrible and its hard to have a good look at the girls until they are up close. I got brought out a girl one at a time but knocked the first 2 back. I was in BKK last year, that time there were lots of police activity, they were arresting foreign worker from pub like shock and other clubs. Is it still going on? Or they stopped.
