Posts: 157Interesting news that I just found is that a visa is not needed for Mexican Citizens and there are some limited flights to Caracas via Mexico City. Time to bust out my Mexican passport!

Posts: 406Visa needed before you get there
I've been looking into going to Isla Margarita and from what I have read, getting a visa from USA for US citizens is a long process and only through their consulate in DC, maybe easier and quicker in Colombia but check it out first since they say you need it before going there.

Posts: 1307It has to do with being in Caracas. That is probably why someone would ask about flights. Part of the purpose of this board is to help each other out with information about destinations. If safety is irrelevant then ignore my comment.

Posts: 2125They have the route from Bogotá to Caracas listed on their website but apparently the route is currently suspended due to Covid-19, at least that's what it says on the website when you try to book the route.

Posts: 1307A friend of mine works there. He lives in a secured area, but when he goes outside it is with armed bodyguard. And he is a schoolteacher. So not like a high security job. Just the situation there. Now that info is about a year old. But I have not heard that it has improved.

Posts: 1307I know people that live there. It is extremely dangerous if you are suspected of having money. Much more than the worst of the US from what I've been told.

USA has the worst places on this Earth! I don't know why Caracas and surrounding areas are not as popular as Medellin and Bogota?

Posts: 108What is mongering life like in a hyperinflation society?
Wiki says the inflation rate in Venezuela for 2017,2018, and 2019 are 863%, 130,060%, and 9,586% respectively. How has that impacted the mongering life? Are there a lot more desperate women getting into the trade?
