Posts: 107Gringos in El Centro increased perhaps by 200-300 percent in the last two years. Before 2020, and especially before 2015, there were few gringos there. Also the behavior and social background tend to be different. Now many gringos hang around and talk loud at Plaza Bolivar while the pre-covid gringos use to keep low profile. Some of the guys are argumentative with locals and they were kicked out of the hotels and restaurants, and some of them were arrested. Most of the gringos in the last decade were professionals with college degree or advanced degrees. A majority of El Centro gringos today are high school graduates, very few speak Spanish, and many of them are anti=vaxxers.

Posts: 241Gringos-just one guys opinion
I haven't been quiet about the influx of gringos to mde in the past, but it's def overblown. Stay outside poblado and you rarely if ever see a gringo besides ground zero.
Even then, I don't think it changes the prices. Sure some casas went up 5 k but I think that's just inflation, and even then the vast majority of gringos need to use a translator to talk, girls find that annoying ime.
Ime, it won't change market dynamics. Sure. Sw can ask you for 50 k +20 k tip as gringos give them, but just don't give it to them LOL. Almost any girl will go for 30 k + room in ground zero, esp coffee girls.
There just isn't enough demand from gringos to permanently jack up prices.
And even though it's not that dangerous, 4-5 wrong turns in el centro and you're in the middle of the mde equivalent of cracklandia which isn't for the faint of heart, IE the college europeans you see on guided tours in botero.
Tldr, the gringo situation is overblown and shouldn't be a problem, it probably peaked late last year.
the VRR (vennie replacement rate) is still just ridiculous. So many new college age girls arriving everyday, there arent enough nuts to satisfy them alll,
theyre just so sweet and feminine and genuine, the vennies, unlike american girls. you can make that connection with them where you feel like youre falling for them, there really is no place like mde. in fact im going to cab it to botero and find one right now.
best.

You give new meaning to the term "nut job", LOL.

A friend of mine was out of commission for a week after a Chica scratched his Johnson. She had long sharp fingernails, and by accident they cut his Johnson up, with open cuts that bleed a bit, scabbed over, and took a week to heal.
I personally stay clear of Chicas with braces, my fear being getting sliced up and being out of commission.
Just imagine a guy showing up for a week of activities in Medellin, and than getting sidelined by a freak type of injury to their Johnson. Now that would be a bummer.
Perhaps no different than a football player, you need to start wearing a jock strap with a hole cut in it for your Johnson, which will hopefully keep your balls from flapping around and potentially getting crushed again, ouch! LOL.

There are many guys in MDE I void talking to in the park cause first thing they'll do is point a camera in your face without asking to put on Youtube. That prob ruined Sosua, Pataya and now Colombia. Actually it's getting so bad today I was just talking to a buddy I travel with we need to find new low key spots and stay away from mainstream hotspots where you have too many unemployed youtubers and cams LOL. This shit is becoming a serious prob all over.

Posts: 5608The first solution is to stop watching horrible videos put out by people who can't manage to put together a simple sentence. He took 10 minutes to cover 30 seconds worth of material.

Next, don't panic. Parque Lleras is a tiny part of Medellin and it doesn't appeal to most mongers. The guys who spend all of their time in Parque Lleras aren't interested in the rest of Medellin. The only effect they will have is to lower the quality of the entertainment in Parque Lleras while raising the price in Parque Lleras.
Besides, Parque Lleras has been in a serious decline for the past 2 years. More than any other area in Medellin, Parque Lleras depends on the tourist spending and Covid took most of that away. Last year half of the businesses in the area were shut down. The only places which seemed to be thriving were the ones most commonly frequented by gringos.
Or, just skip all that and use this easy solution:
Don't be part of the problem. Treat people right. Don't assume that every woman is a hooker. Be straightforward with your intentions.

Posts: 286I agree with you and others that I feel like Centro has declined the most between 2019 and late 2021, which was my last visit to MDE. FB scene hasn't been affected as much except for general price inflation. Maybe it's because a lot of guys don't know the FB scene and FB girls don't work the streets, so they're separate markets. As I said in one of my previous reports, last time I went to Centro, I saw a few small groups of middle age to older gringos drinking beer and talking on the benches, like you'd see in the SEA bars, something I never expected to see in Medellin.

- Girls in AC understand basic English so it's easier to communicate simple instructions and to get to know each other at a basic level.
- Long time in AC costs a little less than TLN in MDE.
- No waiting in AC, you can get action almost any time you want.
- Thin Colombian girls usually don't have boobs, whereas be to see cups on thin girls are more common in the Fils.
- Safety in AC is way better. Generally the worst in AC is having some money stolen, but the threat of physical violence, getting drugged etc is minimal.
- Girls who work FB and Centro often do it for a few years. Girls in AC have lower mileage on average and seem more genuinely interested in the guys they meet.
I'm from the west of the US, so MNL is 5 hours further than MDE, a very bearable difference.

I did hook up with two FB that I have had forever but they are in my normal FB. I heard from a couple other people that since COVID this was a good way to meet up. May try the new Facebook later as well. Glad you had a good time. Colombia has always been a huge hit for me!

Posts: 15Taking impulse trip for birthday. Girl friendly hotels?
I decided to book a flight only 2 days in advance for my birthday to Medellin. I am getting confused with all the conflicting hotel reports I am looking for something cheaper and in a fairly safe area. I don't care if they hold the girls ID's as I know the risks of this hobby and am fine with it. If someone wanted to rob me they won't get much anyway. I went to Bogota a few months ago and had a great time but I had a chica friendly Airbnb that did not even check ID's and it was planned way in advance. This time I don't even have a return ticket (I have 2 weeks off work extra money and flight credit from another cancelled trip) so I don't even know how long I will be here. And I have to go back to BOG before my flight home anyway.

Great report. I'm heading there in May, so lots of good intel for my trip.
I couldn't get any of the links to work (yes, I'm replacing the starts with the website name! But I am already friends with Andrea, and she is high up on my list to contact when I arrive.
Could I ask where you stayed? And if you had any issues bringing ladies back? (It sounds like you didn't). I'm still looking for nice accommodation with a balcony.
Also, as you didn't share her link, perhaps you are not prepared to give further info on Lina, which I understand. If you are though, would you be willing to share FB details for her, perhaps by PM? No worries if not.
Forks up!
