It seems you are using bargirl to mean more than a chick that works in a bar that guys go pay a barfine in order to leave with him. Not everyone sources their chicks that way.

I have reported before about a buddy who gives several chicks (some actually do work in bars while others do not) 3,000 baht per month and they come whenever he wants. If he wants them while they are at the bar then he will go pay the barfine, but does not give them any additional.

He does not work on the pay as you go plan, but the retainer plan, which if you are interested in the same girl several times seems to be cheaper than paying the 2,000 you do for each visit. So it is not actually giving a bargirl money for nothing as you put it.
