Note: View Talay 6 (Bayview?) is a great choice for lodging. First time here and for the price (about $50 ish a night) it's a real winner. I did my annual visit to Walking Street last night.

For me in Pattaya, I just don't use the public transport system. Simple. Bolt taxis and motorcycle taxis if during rush hour. I know the Baht bus is only 10 baht but I would rather spend 50-150 baht on a bolt taxi or motorcycle to take myself out of situations where I may be robbed.

But I have never had any bad experience in Pattaya whatsoever (OK, maybe sometimes bad luck with a girl, but that's all in the game), so I wasn't suspecting anything at all. It was only after I had got off the bus and a few minutes later that I noticed my wallet was gone (with 10 thousand baht). I was really annoyed with myself, I thought that would never happen to me.

But luckily when I go out, I only have money and a card with hotel name in my wallet. So the loss was only money. And I also keep a copy of my passport in another pocket (which is always closed).

This is a warning for everybody everywhere, always be careful when someone gets too friendly with you.
