To each his own of course, but massage women don't make much money, and what I've learned from Thai people is that normally one tips for massage. I'll usually tip 100, regardless of whether the cost is 200 b / hour (or less), or 400 b / hour for my thai massage. More if the massage was considerably better than average.

I leave 100 if the massage is average, or 200 if it was good enough for me to have at least wanted to come back to the same woman. A handful of times (out of perhaps close to a thousand Thai massages up over the years) I left 500, possibly even 1000, because the massage was exceptionally good and the woman really worked for it (in a non-"special service" way), making it clear to her that it was because it was a really really good massage.

IMO, people might consider themselves and their body a bit also. It's quite a bit more work for a 40-50 kg Thai girl to give a decent massage to a 120 kg overweight american, than to a 60 kg thai man, so if you're that guy, consider adding 50% or so to the above if you're still getting a decent massage where the girl has to work extra hard because you are bigger than average.

It depends, it is not Thai culture to expect tips but in the tourist places they adopt bad habits and as most of these girls are really hard working and dirt poor fell free to give them a 100/200 baht. Some of the MP that have really low prices to be able to survive so I think it is the right thing to do and certainly appreciated but these are the only places, otherwise I rarely do it. This ain't the US. Worst example is healthland, overrun by Chinese clients where they aggressively bother you for tips. Paying up to 3000 for a very good massage and then also have to mandatory tip, hmm. It was a one time visit for me even I live next door.
